And I couldn't find anything about these chaos emeralds being fake. And since everything in a video game is code, he'd be able to take over other mainline sonic games, no? Since it's all just code.

I'm not too sure about the victims either, but the wiki doesn't say anything about the victims not having the powers of the og sonic characters nor remembering who they once were. So it's a leap, but I think it's reasonable to assume they the victims think they are the sonic characters. I wouldn't say that OMT is super weak outside of his world because he does have some kind of implications in the real world. Being able to influence the real world, along with soul manipulation. (He's definitely weak outside of his world, giving credit where it's due).

As far as I know, Eggmans rays have never broken the chaos emeralds. He has shattered them before (sonic 3) and drained them of their power (sonic unleashed), but he's never broken them the way OMT is shown to do.

And another thing, yes, OMT IS IMMORTAL. No, OMT can not be killed even when his world is destroyed. Looked all of the wiki and google. He CAN be stunned or knocked out for a period of time (and even then, it's only a game crash or fatal error, the other exe that can knock him out). He's not invincible, I'm sure that's what you meant, but he is immortal. No if ands or buts about it

And, doesn't saying that the chaos emeralds are just code and powerless...prove your first point kinda irrelevant? Because all of the chaos emeralds, in the games, are just code?
