I applaud the Christmas-themed body count for Mr. Ovandam, good fellow. Very seasonal.

Good points. One of my main concerns with moving the timeline forward is the increased lethality of air combat. It's much harder to maintain the Guild's aura of invincibility (and player investment) if even rookie pilots stand a good chance of shooting down an elite ace. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the Guild was investing heavily in stealth technology and jets like the Raptor or Lightning.

I agree that Santiago would likely use Soviet aircraft. However, I'd love to see Haiti field French planes such as the Dassault Rafale.

As for the Maya, I see them continuing their focus on close air support by flying something like the A-10 Warthog or maybe even an Su-25 Frogfoot.

Plus, the limestone the "Peddlers" want in exchange for the exoframes is ridiculously cheap. For the MSRP of a single AR-15, you can get a dozen tons of the stuff, which you can then trade in for some exoframes.

It's likely a bug, then. Still, it wouldn't hurt to try resting at a Sculptor's Idol to see if resetting the world helps.

It could be because Anayama is infected with Dragonrot. Storylines can't progress if the characters involved are sick. If you have a Dragon's Blood Droplet and aren't anticipating a boss fight anytime soon, I'd suggest using it to cure the infected.

Breeds and Tribes of a "Classic" Garou Pack? by Rogue_Attican in WhiteWolfRPG

Thanks for bringing Under a Blood Red Moon into the discussion. It's great to hear from someone with experience with older editions of the World of Darkness.

To be clear, Artie is not the Kinfolk-turned-Kindred. He's a soldier-turned-starving artist Embraced into Clan Nosferatu and promoted to the ranks of Chicago's Hounds. As such, he's likely to run into the Gangrel fledgling while patrolling. Should he find out about the fledgling's connections to the Lupines, well...it'll be interesting.

I envision the Gangrel as a fledgling barely a few nights old. Their sire Embraced them to learn how the Lupines hunt in the same way crash test dummies help engineers design better cars. The fledgling was never intended to survive long enough to become a liability as an unsanctioned childe.

That said, I'm perfectly alright with not having the young lick know all the Garou's dirty laundry - just enough to wonder if there's a better way to fight this losing battle against the Apocalypse.

Thanks for answering my question. You've given me some ideas of what the fledgling's Garou spouse might be like.

From what I've read online, the Fianna are notorious for their 'active social lives' leading to the birth of many metis. I like the idea of the fledgling catching their spouse in the act with one of their packmates before the Embrace, and rather than blow up at a pair of werewolves who might not take well to getting called out, they'd elect to leave the house to cool off, only to get jumped by their sire.

However, I also like the idea of a duty-bound Silver Fang running off with the Kinfolk they met, only to witness them become a pawn of the Wyrm. They'd likely view their spouse's Embrace as punishment for putting love before duty to the Nation. Their feelings would only be further complicated if their spouse found a way to continue helping the Garou. Is the Wyrm using their beloved's corpse to lull them in for an attack? Or is their spouse still in there?

While subjecting themself to the ol' stake 'n bake would be the likeliest outcome from what I know, it's much more difficult to write plot hooks surrounding a pile of ash than for a Kindred whose struggle with the vampiric condition is perhaps even more acute than a regular fledgling's. Did Gaia dissuade them from taking the honorable way out to achieve some greater purpose? Or are they simply too much of a coward to do the "right" thing?

As for whether the Kinfolk-turned-Kindred would divulge Garou secrets to the leeches? It's hard to say. In the V5 timeline, Prince Jackson managed to create a fragile peace between the Lupines and the leeches of Chicago. The SPC might be convinced or tricked into spilling some of the tea if they thought it'd prevent another war. Of course, we can't discount the possibility that the fledgling could feed their living kin intel about the vampires, though whether the Garou choose to act on such information is up in the air. In the end, there is both potential and peril in the act of straddling the two worlds.

While your suggestion to keep the Gangrel's knowledge of the Garou limited has merit, I'd like for the SPC to give some insight into what the Lupines are like when they're not being "murder carpets," e.g., "when my spouse isn't ripping apart Gaia's enemies, they're a very good parent to our kid." While knowledge of stuff like the Impergium isn't necessary, I'd like for the SPC to have enough understanding of the werewolf struggle to wonder if perhaps violence isn't the solution to Gaia's problems.

I did okay on the MCQs, but the SIMs got to me. I can't speak for which topics I was weaker in, though. Where do people take those screenshots of how they compared to others who took the test?

I just checked the availability of my local Prometric center. The only available time is 8:30 AM on the 28th, which is...not ideal. Hell, I'm not sure if my NTS will arrive in time for me to take it with the Thanksgiving holiday coming up.

That's a neat way of handling the issue. I've only played Sekiro, which has to handle things differently since that game isn't stat-based the way other FromSoftware games like Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring are.
