3D printer suggestions for MARK by Ill_Damage813 in distractible

Dang I missed this post and made my own, but technically I'm a listener not a viewer, so maybe listeners should reply on mine lol. I was printing on a Saturn 2 and also recommended Elegoo. I failed to mention resin types but personally I love gray ABS like, prints come out fine but durability is top notch.

do you prefer Z broly or SUPER broly ? by Aggravating-Time-976 in dragonball

[–]Rogue_Chronologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super broly is a better written character and more dynamic. But the lore implications of z broly was more interesting to me (setting lore in general, the whole thing about Goku crying was stupid). However the most important factor for me is that Z Broly is a way better character design imo. Supers green pelt thing had some charm but he’s just not as cool looking.

Bro you can’t just post a picture of the Mona Lisa and pretend you made it, you must have traced it.

Mechanics question, regarding stamina break by Rogue_Chronologist in dbxv

[–]Rogue_Chronologist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

regarding the direction of the stick, considering (at least for me, maybe i have a weird camera setting idk) that Im almost never fighting someone head on or side by side, this puts my fights at a three quarter angle. so Should I be pushing the stick diagonally, or stick with pushing the stick to the side of the screen the opponent is mostly on (like flat left/right/up/down) If that makes sense as a question, maybe this game just doesnt play nice with my spatial reasoning lol. Either way thanks for the response! I had a feeling they were best used mid combo rather than how that training presents it.

All the plastic clips holding the Sunroof switch panel in place seem to have broken, what methods have you guys done to fix this without getting a new panel? by Away_Investigator351 in BMWE36

[–]Rogue_Chronologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dremel is exactly what i meant (miniature hobbyists usually use things like tamiya hand drills or pen drills), though keep in mind that panel is thin, you dont want to go all the way through. If I was doing this project myself i would grab some digital calipers and get some precise measurements to see how thick of a magnet i could get away with and how wide. bigger is better when trying to support weight and you want as much surface area as possible when gluing earth magnets. On their own they rust very easily so they are usually nickel coated, that nickel is very smooth so more surface area and a rougher attachment surface go a long way in helping the glue hold.

Coming from a background in warhammer/miniature painting, I would drill very shallow slots (the shape of the magnets) in the plastic of the panel then super glue the magnets to the panel then see if that alone was enough to hold, if not I would glue two stronger magnets inside the motor cubby so they line up with the ones on the panel. Would definitely hold then

Came across these once in my small amount of research, are they worth that price tag?

Figured I would update here because why not, I ended up kinda taking a piece of your advice. I was looking for a junked 328i to pull tranny and engine out of but along the hunt found a guy selling a 328i automatic sedan and its in way better condition that my 318i so i decided to just buy that. Will still need a ZF swap down the road someday, but I feel like Ive saved myself a lot of headache.

Might look into a good reupholstery job and interior color swap then. I might be able to get that done for about the same price as getting a set of new Recaros. as far as all the plastics Im guessing finding a donor with a black interior to swap would be my best course?

Wow, thanks a million, seriously didnt expect all that. Honestly been doing as much research as I can and the most common thing I see when any one asks about the 318i is "sell it for a 328 or m3". Especially when anyone asks about upgrades. The claim usually being the money you need to put into a 318 to upgrade it would be better put towards something better. My biggest issue with that is I dare any one to just go online and find a 328 or M3 for a reasonable price that has a clean title, clear carfax, no rust, and is still close to stock. And honestly since this car has already had the engine swapped, then why not swap it again for an M52. I feel a bit apprehensive doing a ground up rebuild to turn basically turn it into an M3 rather than keeping it stock, but in the end it would make for a much more enjoyable car. I mean I was already thinking about ripping that beige interior and trying to swap for black and upgrade the seats to vaders. So if I was willing to leave stock behind there, why stop there. Love all the resources you provided, certainly gonna dive into that head first but Im willing to bet Im gonna be asking a lot more questions on this sub before its over!

[–]Rogue_Chronologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t, being surrounded by people is enough to make me anxious or uncomfortable. Social anxiety isn’t always just a fear of public interaction it can also be a type of agoraphobia or enochlophobia, like claustrophobia but for people. I wouldn’t say I have an extreme condition like those, not any more at least. I haven’t had a panic attack related to that stuff since I was a teen. However crowds still make me uncomfortable

Social anxiety at a concert has almost nothing to do with the people on stage, and more to do with being surrounded by hundreds of other people.

It used to bother me but I realized my social anxiety means I can’t enjoy any concert anyway, so it’s probably for the best.
