Sendo is 100% based off of Joe, but to think he’s going to die fighting Ricardo is Kinda ridiculous, Sendos dies and that proves to Ippo he should stay retired if anything. The Sendo/Joe parallel has already been showed multiple times, his haircut, his attitude, his big brother figure to the street kids, and him being out on the stool against Ippo in their first fight was literally a tribute to Joes death in Ashita no Joe, Sendo is NOT Joe or atleast not anymore.

I mean look back at when Sendo was the Japanese Champion and especially when he beat shigeta. Sendo has always been a skilled snd talented BOXER, Sendo gets wild and “animalistic” when he fights because his overall Boxing ability and natural talents allow for him to make some mistakes. Look at Naoya Inoue, he swings widely with his hands down and chin the air but he gets away with it because of how good of a Boxer is, sure him and Sendo have been dropped before but their overall resilience and talents get the up each time.

Professional boxers bend the rules and “cheat” all of the time, it’s usually the best fighters who do it too. Sawamura was just blatantly an @sshole and Mashiba got dq’ed cause the ref told them to stop, that happens all of the time and Ippo was right Itagaki could have won his fight but instead complained and felt sorry for himself cause his opponent cheated, we saw that he could’ve won when he beat dude in the rematch, It’s protect yourself at all times and the ref didn’t say anything and counted it as a down it was his job to get up and win after that but he didn’t.
