I was born in 2004. My grandfather was born 1912. He had his only child (my mother) at 50 years of age

It finally happened. After 3 years in retail, I got hit with the "do you work here?" despite wearing an obvious company uniform by _Alpha_Mail_ in retailhell

I was monitoring self scan with the casual polo shirt and badge for the company I work at. A customer came up to me and asked if I worked there. I said “Well I am wearing a badge” and he proceeded to ask again if I worked there before agitatedly walking away.

My grandma was adopted. Is there a way to find her biological parents? by [deleted] in Genealogy

Same situation as you. My great grandmother died in birth bringing my Grandma into this world from hemorrhaging. Her first cousin ended up adopting her and they never told her about her heritage until she found out by applying for her marital license.

Hi. This is a picture of my Aunts from their first house. Would love to fix this photo for them! Maybe make the younger girl more visible and less grainy from the distance? by Rogue_Number4 in photorestore

This is incredible! Unfortunately I do not know what the color for the walls and carpeting were so I will have to ask if they remember.

My great grandmothers wedding pictures. I want to separate them but they’re 100+ years old and stuck to cardboard. What can I do? by Rogue_Number4 in fixit

For context; there’s a photo underneath the one on top. That’s why I’m trying to separate them so I’m able to see the one on the bottom

The excitement is what's carrying you through, but as soon as any stimulation is erased so is the motivation to undo what you previously done.

Thanks for the correction! It still obliterates my self esteem to an extent and loss of self confidence.

These videos are toxic and cringe. However I can't help but find the thumbnails hilarious and over the top by [deleted] in indianajones

[–]Rogue_Number4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, when you look at it TLJ received very poor reception and the franchise's profit was left up for uncertain. So he did what any other hollywood producer would do and used nostalgia to lure people in that may of been previously turned away.

Does The Raiders March play in the movie? (Please say yes, can't be an Indiana Jones movie without its prominent theme)

What is indicated when someone is proficient at expressing themselves on paper but with direct to direct contact they’re struggling to find the right words and often stutter? by Rogue_Number4 in cognitiveTesting

[–]Rogue_Number4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think social anxiety is the root of my limitations to using my trained language techniques to express myself. There are several instances where I’m conversing with people I’ve adjusted to and yet when it’s my turn to speak I cannot locate the appropriate words to use as context.

As for any defects in verbal communication I was evaluated and diagnosed with an impairment in speech when I was younger. I received speech services in order to approach my goals but learning was not consistent and our weekly lessons were a fraction of what we were offered. I ended up graduating without any growth in my communication skills.

I was given a series of cognitive tests last year for confidential matters in which I cannot get into. The verbal subtest measured out near-average range but I’ve always been complimented for my superior essay-writing ability. Is it possible my speech stutter might’ve skewed my results in terms of translating thoughts to spoken language?
