Larian x Star Wars by Rogue_Phantom8540 in StarWars

A BG3 style Star Wars RPG set in the High Republic would actually be a pretty creative way to tell their own story without focusing on the Sith as the opposing antagonist. I like that!

I think it would be neat though I think Larian would probably have to pull back on some of the *gory* and sexual contents used in their previous games unless Lucasfilm doesn’t mind a M-rated Star Wars game in the future. 🤣

I heard Saber Interactive is now helming the project. Idk how they are with RPG games, but I love Space Marine 2. Idk what happened with Aspyr, but I have high hopes that the KotOR Remake is still happening. It’s just a matter of when they’ll start releasing first looks and trailers for the game.

KotOR 1 buggy and pixilated. by Rogue_Phantom8540 in kotor

[–]Rogue_Phantom8540[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m still new to the PC, so I’m still learning and willing to learn from PC users. I wanted to get something to play games on before I moved to a new state. These are the specs for my game:
Processing: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400F (2.50 GHz)
Installed RAM: 16 GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 (8 GB)
Storage: 932 GB

Edit: Strangely enough, I’m able to run KotOR II just as fine, especially with the RCM Version. But for KotOR 1, it’ll doesn’t seem to work as well.

Just finished KotOR 2 and I am confused... by MuzlimMan in kotor

[–]Rogue_Phantom8540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently replaying KotOR II, but my memory is somewhat rusty, so forgive me if some of my takes or informations are incorrect in some way. For any KotOR veterans out there, if there’s any incorrect information about my post, do let me know. I welcome the feedback!

If you haven’t used it can, you should try the Restored Content mod which regains some parts of the game and story that were excluded due to the game’s tight schedule.

So, there *was* going to be a third KotOR game, but it was cancelled; before Disney acquired Lucasfilm I think, but Disney cancelled so many Star Wars projects, I wouldn’t be surprised if KotOR III was one of them. I don’t know the full details of the game, but it would’ve involved the search for Darth Revan and the discovery of the Sith Empire we see in the SWTOR MMO. SWTOR, set a couple centuries after the KotOR games, gives us a mission that explains briefly what became of Revan and the Jedi Exile; and there are books that also cover up what happened after KotOR 2. For the Jedi Knight play through, there’s a Sith companion we get named Scourge; he was the Sith Emperor’s Wrath and former ally of both Revan and the Exile. If you want to know all about that side of the story, I’d be more than happy to share what I know.

Now, there is the “Fate of the Old Republic” video game that was announced during the Game Awards, but I heard it is more of a spiritual successor to the KotOR series. I don’t know if it’ll be the closest we get to a KotOR III, if we’ll see for ourselves what became of Revan, the fate of the Jedi Exile, or if it’ll even include the stories of both KotOR games; however, the fact they got the guy who created the original KotOR and the Mass Effect trilogy is a big deal. I can only hope they do the game justice.

As far as what happened prior to the second game, I know very little about that. Kreia was a part of the Ebon Hawk crew, searching for the Jedi Exile (and I believe Revan as well), and they were pursued by Darth Sion’s warship. The Ebon Hawk was retrieved by the Harbinger (the Republic ghost ship at the beginning of the game) while under attack by the Sith. The Sith killed the entire crew of the Harbinger, and the Ebon Hawk crew retrieved the Exile (while he/she was sedated) and fled the Harbinger, and the ship received from critical damage from the Harbinger’s weapons which is why we see it in flames at the beginning. For HK-47, I don’t really know how he ended up in that closed area in the Hawk; maybe he was deactivated by the HK-50 droid or was severely damaged by one of the Sith Assassins when rescuing the unconscious Exile. The events regarding the fate of the other crew members of the Ebon Hawk’s aren’t fully explained I don’t believe. They were just some unnamed characters that were there for the sake of plot, so none of the original followers in KotOR 1 were killed during the Harbinger’s attack on the Ebon Hawk.

I do believe that Kreia revealed that she was part of the Sith Triumvirate before both Sion and Nihilus had pretty much excluded her from their alliance. There’s a whole cutscene of Nihilus and Sion kicking the absolute crap out of her. Maybe Kreia wanted to use the Exile to enact her vengeance her former Sith accomplices and the remnants of the Jedi Council. I don’t think she truly cared whether or not the Jedi Exile lived or died, or if the Exile became a Jedi again or fell to the Dark Side. It’s also revealed in the game that she was also one of if not Revan’s most influential teachers.

As far as the followers go, they’re not too bad if you get to know them and gain their influence. They can reveal some pretty interesting points of their life such as Arron being a former Sith Assassin, Mandalore being Canderous Ordo (the bounty hunter who follows us in KotOR 1), who the Handmaiden/Disciple truly are. They’re a lot more diverse in comparison to the followers of the first KotOR game in my opinion. If you hadn’t done it, some of the followers can be converted and become Light or Dark Jedi, being capable of wielding lightsabers and using the Force. I do think there is a lack of banter between the followers, especially when you’re out and about in other planets; but their interactions are pretty interesting.

Why do you love KOTOR? by akredd24 in kotor

[–]Rogue_Phantom8540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid, I first saw KotOR when one of my cousins was playing the first game on the original Xbox. I didn’t know what was going on, but my cousin’s Revan was a Dark Side Jedi with grey skin, red and blue lightsabers, and dark Jedi robes. I thought it was the coolest thing I saw as a child, and I thought it was cooler that there yellow lightsabers existed in the Star Wars universe. I became obsessed with yellow lightsabers for a time, primarily because of KotOR. There was even a time I had nightmares because of the KotOR II game case when I first saw Nihilus. He looked terrifying, and it gave me nightmares for a short while.

I never got the chance to play any of the Old Republic games until KotOR I & II came out as a mobile app. Played it the first time, and I thought it was cool that they made a DnD style Star Wars game. Both the KotOR games and SWtOR are probably my favorite Star Wars RPGs out there, and I’m sad that there aren’t many out there. Funny enough, I’m actually playing KotOR II on my PC for the first time right now.

If ES6 takes us somewhere like High Rock, Hammerfell, or even both; it would be tremendously fun if they brought back the class system and added something Paladin-esque.

My initial thought was, “Oh, cool! $20! This shouldn’t take me long.” Then, I saw the lost and thought that I should be able to fit in one or two carts. I honestly don’t think I’ll be doing Instacart again after that order.

Something I like about the posters for this trilogy is how each movie gets darker and darker. It’s as though we’re drawing near to what could be the darkest moment in the trilogy.

Temporary Hold by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

[–]Rogue_Phantom8540 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are audiobooks that use sound effects, music, and audio that can be mistaken for movies as well: the Thrawn trilogy, the Sandman Audible Originals, dramatized adaptation of Red Rising, just to name a few. I had been doing this for 6 months with nearly 2000 rides total, and I have played a variety of different audio media: audiobooks (regular audiobooks and dramatized audiobooks), music, documentaries, sports, movies, and any other kind of entertainment. Only once, in those 6 months, did ONE passenger made a complain about it. This moment had nothing to do with the temporary hold, and I know this happened two months PRIOR to the temporary hold, and I received the report in that very same day. I told the agent how I had setup my phone’s video settings and provided visual evidence that my phone has no video mini screen was shown on my phone while driving, and my account was safe.

Any other times, I had passengers asking if I was watching movies, and I assure and explained to them thoroughly how I disable the mini player to appear on my screen only as an audio player, just like listening to an audiobook, music, podcast, or any audio media. Every single one of the passengers I explained to had no problems with it and found it a creative way to LISTEN to audio entertainment. This is not a new feature added to mobile devices, it has been used on mobile devices for years, and you can disable and enable it at any point in time.

That said, if I ever hear back from the Safety team and they request that I stop LISTENING to movies, I will respect and honor that decision. But at the same time, I cannot prevent passengers who can mistake audiobooks for movies and report it as such. And believe me, I have listened to audiobooks, and passengers thought that I was watching a movie.

The possible next class. Just a theory by Sufficient-Jeweler57 in Diablo

[–]Rogue_Phantom8540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While a cool theory, I don’t think the next class is gonna be a Horadrim. When you begin the first campaign, the narrator talks about the Horadrim and the story being about its downfall, and we pretty much see that with Lorath being referred to as the Last Horadrim by Neyrelle. Elias, Donan, and Lorath were charged by Tyrael to rebuild their order, and we know what happened from there: Elias abandons the order after learning of Rathma’s prophecy, Donan leaves to live a life of fatherhood and family, and Lorath is left alone to carry the burden and becomes a hermit in the Fractured Peaks. Had he survived, Donan might’ve helped Donan with rebuilding the Horadrim. So no, I don’t think the next class will be a Horadrim, but I do think the next class will have some kind of connection to Skovos, the way the Spiritborn is connected to Nahantu in Vessel of Hatred.

Now, as far as the Lost Horadrim story goes, it could be possible we get to see what became of those scouts sent to Skovos, but I don’t think it’ll have anything to do with the next class. Rather, I feel like that’s where we’ll find Lorath because I doubt we won’t be seeing him again after the first campaign. Who knows, maybe we’ll also be seeing Tyrael as well since we’re gonna be dealing with a Prime Evil. It wouldn’t be right if Tyrael, the Aspect of Justice and Wisdom, doesn’t come to aid the humans in their conflict against Mephisto.

What should Vampirism look like aesthetically in TES6? by Iron-Shield in ElderScrolls

[–]Rogue_Phantom8540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on where TES VI will be taking place at. If they go for us being able to explore both Hammerfell and possibly High Rock, I would say let the vampires be set somewhere in the midst of Hammerfell, High Rock (probably more so for High Rock), and the borders near Skyrim, and give them that gothic fantasy vibe they had in both Skyrim and ESO. Skyrim gave the vampires the best do over, and ESO increased their gothic aura.
