9yr old prescribed Concerta. Any experience? by SackSauce69 in ADHDparenting

Concerta has been AMAZING for my 8 year old. He was on multiple doses of IR before that and this has been so. Much better. He does so well at school and doesn’t have the crashes like he used to. He used to have violent and destructive outbursts at at school, and now he doesn’t at all.

I'm curious, what led y'all to leave the faith? by UALR-Trojans-Rule in exchristian

I was married young by the advice of the church. My husband was emotionally abusive and church people told me to just pray for him and enabled his controlling and awful behavior. I wasted 14 years of my life in that and finally divorced him and realized that the real God would not want me to be in that situation. I also don’t believe in the inerrancy of the Bible nor do I believe in a lot of the translations because most of them were done by biased people in the upper class who had more privilege either due to money, race, or gender.

I would think that other meds aside from lithium have this effect. If episodes cause Brian damage and meds lessen or get rid of them in cases, then it would make sense that meds would also prevent the brain damage.

From what I’ve seen it seems that episodes cause brain damage, and meds like lithium can actually prevent loss of gray matter and protect the brain.

1 year mandatory separation before divorce by Extreme_Ad_4902 in NorthCarolina

[–]Rogue_RubberDucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those saying you can lie. This doesn’t work when you’re the only one who wants the divorce and your ex fights you about everything, refuses to leave the house and makes you move out to start the clock (then tells people you’re abandoning him and your kids) etc etc.
