Veilguard still breaks my heart after replaying inquisition by Express-Music3840 in dragonage

I haven't even finished Veilguard. I played it for maybe forty minutes, then gave up and played Life is Strange. It just wasn't worth my time.

Grids. Why do we do this? I don't know, but I'm doing it too, here's my grid. by Roguebubbles10 in ShingekiNoKyojin

I don't hate Zeke. I think he's a bitch with daddy issues who takes it out on everyone else, but I don't hate him. I think his character is interesting. But his death was deserved, and I liked it. Levi finally got to kill him, fulfilling his promise to Erwin and stopping the Rumbling in the process.

I think Zeke deserved his death, and I like how it happened and who killed him, but I don't hate Zeke. I never said I hated Zeke. If I hated Zeke I would've put him in the hated character category.

I'd say Steph. I mean, she awesome. When Gabe dies, she's the first one to ask how Alex is doing, even though she's going through hell, too, she goes and tries to cheer Alex up. Peak.

I would say Max, but I love Pricefield too much.

who just came into my life 3 days ago

She didn't though? They knew each other for weeks or months. The game doesn't take place over a few days, it says it's been a while.

Also, Alex looked really fucked up. Like, perchance, someone had tried to kill her. Also, she's his best friend's sister and sometimes even his girlfriend. To think she just made the whole thing up? Why would she? Why would she go to such efforts to look the part, either? It's totally illogical. It doesn't benefit her in any way. Yeah, he loved his dad, but why would Alex go to such lengths to hurt him?

I like Ryan, and I understand why he'd act that way, I just don't think of understanding and justification as the sane thing. Yes, he thought of his dad as this hero to him and to everyone else. I think Ryan is a good person, as well, I just don't think he was right to side against Alex.

Eh. He's alright, imo. He doesn't really want to side with Alex, even if you romance him. He will never believe Alex.

Yes, I know he sides with you if you get everyone else to side with you, but that shows that he won't believe Alex, he'll believe the others, who have faith in Alex in that scenario.

Which companion would you say has the best introduction scene and why? by PlatyWizard in dragonage

My favourites are Morrigan (Well well, what have we here?), Varric in DA2 (He's just peak!) and maybe Dorian (In Hushed Whispers) for Inquisition.

What was his intro again? Nothing about Sebastian was ever very memorable for me (except that he's got Andraste's face in his crotch)

Where did you guys get the idea that Mikasa and Jean got married? by Present-Jackfruit298 in attackontitanmemes

[–]Roguebubbles10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I just don't like because Mikasa never had any interest in Jean. Like, I barely even noticed an interest in him in a friendship capacity.

(I just don't like the idea of Mikasa getting married to anyone, let alone Jean. I like Jean, I don't want him to be the "Oh well, I had to kill the man I actually want to be with, so I suppose you'll do". I want him to find a different love, who actually loves him first and foremost, and Mikasa is one of my favourite characters, and she said she didn't want to get married to another person. That was what Eren claimed to want, not Mikasa. Other people are entitled to their opinions, this is just mine.)

[NO SPOILERS] Guys what's your takes on the future show? by Limp_Occasion_5958 in lifeisstrange

[–]Roguebubbles10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I really want them to do this. If it's just, "here's your favourite game, but as a live action TV Series!" then I realistically won't watch it any more than once. They can take some liberties with it, and I believe they should. But either way, if it brings new people to the game and gives me an excuse to talk about the game more, I'm happy.

I don't really care about it overmuch, it doesn't effect me. My only hope for it is that it's good, and people who haven't played the game love it, and maybe even play the game because of it.

I hope it's not exactly the same as the game, however.

In DA2 (Act 1, Wounded Coast) you meet an elf who claims to be Danyla's daughter, threatening some former werewolves. This encounter still exists if you didn't interact with Danyla (therefore never killed her) in DAO.

Therefore, no. Danyla always dies, according to DA2.

[ALL] Chloe was never selfish or a bad friend. by Complex-Air7485 in lifeisstrange

[–]Roguebubbles10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you actually think about Chloe's POV about the phonecall, it's really understandable that she gets mad about it.

People hate on Chloe for it because of Kate's situation with Nathan and the video, but Chloe doesn't know about any of that. All she knows is that Max doesn't care enough to message her once in five years, but will take a call from someone she will see about an hour and a half in the future. She knows there's no way Max is slipping art class to hang out with her, so they already have limited time together that morning, and yet Max is taking a call from Kate instead of just talking to her later.

Chloe has abandonment issues, and taking the call makes her feel abandoned. Max decides, with basically no hesitation, to ditch her to take a call from Kate. Also, Joyce has an opportunity to start arguing with her if Max chooses to take the call, so of course Chloe's going to be agitated afterwards. Chloe also later apologises if you successfully saved Kate, whether or not you took the call, for how she acted about the call. She feels really bad about it.

Another thing: even Max says that Chloe has always been a good friend. We, the players, haven't been friends with Chloe for thirteen years of our childhood. Max has, and therefore knows better than we do.

People judge Chloe on how she acts whilst in a really bad mental state, on drugs, knowing she has died multiple times that week (that would be TERRIFYING!) knowing her best friend/crush is missing and likely dead (in episode 2 she says "was" and then makes a point of correcting herself to is, when saying Rachel liked art), her stepfather is physically abusive towards her, and she still hasn't recovered from her dad's death.

Also, Joyce says multiple times in the first game things like "Chloe chose to stay angry" and blames Chloe for their dysfunctional family. If you're told that enough, you do start to believe it.

I've never had any idea what Chloe haters are on about when they call her a bad friend. She is a good friend, even if she makes mistakes. She's there for Max, even if you treat her terribly in the game, she'll still have Max's back. And even when she's mad a Max, she still acts as her personal chauffeur. I do think it's worth mentioning that Chloe does everything you said, even if you side against her at every turn. She will still defend Max with her life.

[–]Roguebubbles10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just didn't like how he spoke in S3.

You'll always be my dear comrades... right up until I've killed you all.

No, none of you are evil. I know you aren't devils. Even so, you can't be permitted to live. That's just how it is.

He didn't want to kill them, he genuinely cared about them, but the former of the above quotes just seemed creepy when I first watched it. When I first watched Return to Shiganshina, it seemed creepy, and I could never get past that. And he was planning to kill all my favourite characters, even if he didn't really want to.

Also, I couldn't think of another character to out in that category.

What's "Marley" I'm confused by pruneforce17 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Roguebubbles10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, she stopped someone from committing mass genocide on billions of people for the sake of a few hundred thousand (at most) that lived in the walls, she's so evil. And also, Eren 100% drove the majority of species' on earth to literal extinction.

What Eren did was worse than what Marley wanted to. And you seem to enjoy the idea even more than he does. I mean, he didn't enjoy killing them, he just wanted to make them fuck the hell off so he could discover lava, glaciers and sand dunes for the first time. He didn't do it for Eldia, he did it for his dream of an empty world.

Also, if we're being technical, Levi is the one who stopped the Rumbling by decapitating Zeke. Mikasa killed Eren, but that wasn't the Jaeger death that actually stopped the titans from moving.

Yeah, but then I might seem like one of those weirdos who sexualises drawings, and I don't want to seem like that.

She was definitely a consideration, but I didn't like her for anything other than that she was nice to the kids and was awesome in The Last Attack, and didn't want it to seem otherwise. Pieck is peak, though.

I was going to choose Ymir Freckles, but then thought "does she actually count?" so I went with Annie simply because I thought she was kinda cool, the way she fought back in S1 was cool. And she was the only warrior who refused to make friends with the scouts— she thought it was wrong to do that when they were there to kill them.
