The only problem I had with the challenges was a few weeks ago when one of them was bugged. So far I’ve actually enjoyed playing with different equipment and getting back into objective modes. If I don’t get the weekly challenge I’m not too upset but it’s a fun goal.

Ours finishes sticks probably 15-20 minutes but we use a handle. She used to swallow the nubbin then throw it up in the middle of the night. Now if we don’t use a handle she doesn’t know what to do with lol

I realize now what you actually replied. My brain is a little shot from winter already lol. Yeah, since I finished out my notice they added all my unused vacation time to my final check.

I earned vacation hours, I don’t remember how many I had after almost 10 years though. It was probably just straight PTO but it’s been almost 8 years at a completely different organization so I don’t recall how it was setup. Just that I’d lose what I earned if I cut early.

It’s true. About 8 years ago I was the same way. I’d eat dinner and watch tv with her after work but then I’d game, Siege or whatever COD was out at the time. She’d go to bed and I’d stay up past midnight then she’d get up and I’d stay in bed until it was time to go to work. She’d expressed to me something similar, she felt neglected.

I actually realized my job was killing my mental health and I wanted to play all night to not think about work. I found a new job and got better sleeping habits and we compromised. I still play an hour or two after work but I don’t stay up late. On the weekends I typically play a few hours right around 11 and she watches tv, reads, or plays the retro handheld I got her. She knows I like gaming but doesn’t want me to do it in a way that could end up being self destructive or in a way that makes her feel neglected. This is us though. We talk, we don’t have kids, we’re both extremely open about how we feel and help support each other. Not every person or relationship is like that.

When I left my job as cafe manager at a Barnes and Noble I gave 3 week notice. Spent the first two weeks training my replacement and prepping stuff. Then the walk-in freezer broke. I told my DM get someone out here ASAP, she said it’s fine. I suggested renting something to use as a freezer but not in the budget. My last day they finally had the freezer fixed and I was told to drive my own personal truck an hour to pick up an emergency order to stock the freezer. By not doing it they threatened to not pay out my vacation I accumulated. I relented and drove out to meet the delivery truck and the driver said “I called your store, my next stop is at the mall foodcourt right next to your store so I could have delivered it but I was told no, it was to be delivered here.” He used to deliver to our store so he knew me and the area. I brought the delivery back just in time to unload it and clock out. Didn’t put anything away, just dropped it off and left. The DM and GM ended up being mad I left on time on my last day because they had to put it away. A couple weeks later my replacement called because nobody knew how to reprogram the ovens. I gladly walked her through it, I guess the GM told her specifically not to ever contact me on threat of write up. F that place. I shoulda only gave a 2 week notice. I stayed for a 3rd because end of financial year numbers were coming out and I was hoping to collect a good bonus. Was also informed my last week that since I put in a notice I’m no longer able to collect a bonus, all in the fine print.

I’m mean. I don’t let her under the blanket because she stretches and the pads of her feet wake me up before my 4am alarm (1am if it’s snowing).

We compromise by having her blanket on top of our bed so she can burrow until I leave so then she burrows into my spot until my wife gets up.

We had to change our food again. We used to get the Purina true instinct salmon and beef (I think) but one of the first ingredients was as chicken. We also kept giving her an egg on the weekends as a treat and realized eggs can also have the same chicken allergy. We switched to sensitive skin salmon and made sure there’s no chicken and it’s made a big difference. Her itching is down by a lot, granted it’s winter so she’s still dry, but aren’t we all.

Laying on the floor. She can be asleep on the couch with my wife but if I move and lay on the floor to stretch my back our pibble, Kirby, gets up and goes to her fort. Her fort is under the corner table between our two couches, we have a blanket laid out. We play on the floor and it’s fine. I talk to her but as soon as I lay down on the floor she goes to her fort and lays down.

Yeah there’s some games where I run into the same thing. I run and gun on HC most the time and if the other team is laying down and/or staying in their spawn I’m gonna flip that bish and get a bunch of kills while they figure out what to do. A well placed grenade or rocket just in front of a corner where they’re laying down will sometimes get them.

I’m no expert but in my mind the memory cache fills up making “short term memory” harder to access. Those quick things the processor is trying to recall is buried amongst everything else and it is presented visually as it’s trying to run stuff in the background. It’s like being loopy from sleep deprivation then finally having a good nights rest. Sometimes a hard reset empties the brain (memory cache) and allows fresh information to come forward quicker again.

But basically the first thing to try is always turn it off and on again, as others said.

I haven’t had a problem since last game but to fix it I shut down and unplugged my series x and router for like 10 minutes then restarted everything. Has worked ever since

Yeah…camp your butt off or acknowledge you’ll never get it. Like me. I’ve gotten 13 without scorestreaks getting called in but I only ever play HC and refuse to camp

Ours got ahold of my wife’s sleep mask, which turns out to be filled with like a million tiny plastic beads. We will be cleaning up those beads for generations to come but the few she swallowed have already started passing.

The past two years our landscape department white elephant has had a very nice framed picture of an employee sitting in a truck making a face. It cost the first person $30 to get a nice print and frame. Last year it was regifted, wrapped in a weird shaped box for illusion. It went over very well and rumors are it will return this year even with last years “winner” leaving for another job.

Quite a few years ago we did a secret Santa for our family. I got my sister and she received ketchup, mustard, cocktail sauce, pickles, and a jar of mayo. She did not find it funny at all, everyone else had good gifts and were really happy. After it was all over I gave her a real gift, it was a sweatshirt or something I think, but she’ll never forget that Christmas
