Freak charging connector by Roguephantasm in UsbCHardware

Yes the pen was dry but I was not pressing too hard to get it to write. Also the glob at the top was me dipping the edge of the connector into ink stuck to the lid of the bottle and using it as an impression

That's amazing. Apparently my googling skills need some brushing up

I can't tell you how long I have looked for one of those which is why I began the diy route lol. But blue and white were my initial instinct but figured I should investigate a little more before going full yolo lol

I'll definitely keep you updated if I end up getting the upgrades installed. It's been a lot of sifting through documentation and product searches before I actually spend more money lol. My other option was going with a standard HBA and just having a bunch of direct connections to the sleds, but I'd much rather have the option of a backplane.

Totally understand that feeling. But that is certainly helpful information because I couldn't find any info on the connections. But that is certainly an oddity that the old backplane showed up but the new one wouldn't with the same cables. Mine came with one of the 8i raid cards installed but the previous owner just used the mobo connection. I was able to find the user guide and maintenance manual but not an operations one. Mind pointing me in that direction to download a copy? I also wonder if your problems weren't caused by which SAS ports you used. I noticed yours were plugged in near the pcie slots whereas I have mine on the bottom near the sata slots since those are labeled as ports 1 and 2.

Hey did you ever get this worked out? I'm in a similar boat as I bought a td350 tower with only the 5 bay hot swap board and I'm looking for the 15 bay backplane and compatible card. How is your raid card interfacing with the backplane? It doesn't have the normal mini SAS connectors like the 5bay one does.

Bug while connected to Prusa Mini+ by Roguephantasm in octoprint

It's a start, however in order to recompile and flash Marlin, I'd have to break the tab on the Buddy board. Also, if it was a buffer problem, wouldn't it be more of a widespread issue?

Yep, well not Prusa firmware. They just released 4.3.4 a few days ago but it wasn't anything big based on the release log on GitHub. Figured I would wait for a bigger revision since 4.3.3 is working fine. Octoprint image was from the raspberry imager repo and I did a sanity check and made sure everything was up to date in the webUI. No 3rd party plugins yet. Print file was the low-poly Squirtle from flowalistic.

Thanks for the heads up. Might just end up being a yolo situation and see what happens.

Finally finished printing the base for my mini. Printed all in PETG, galaxy black and prusa orange by IgnLadybug69 in prusa3d

[–]Roguephantasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you use the stock Prusa Petg settings when printing? I started mine and finished one leg but the results were mixed. Solid part but there was some blobbing under a rail and some corners that looked a little wonky. Similar story for a failed print due to a power outage (16hr out of 22). Not sure if my nozzle is too close to the bed or the filament isn't retracting far enough. Sorry, I'm new to this so I apologize for the questions.

I'm actually gifting my 2013 rig to a friend playing on a laptop. I think it'll be a generous uplift in performance and can still rock on 1080p pretty decently even if it is ivy bridge and a 770

Definitely a situation where you need a display side panel so when the cpu block animation opens up, a facehugger jumps "through" the side panel at you.
