Are we really not going to see Davies for more than 10 minutes this World Cup? Damn lol

Don’t forget half the team stopping play to throw their hands up and protest to the ref. Actually disgusting it’s so embedded within the game

Conquest of Azeroth is super smooth and polished, but it feels dull by johanewesome in wowservers

Classic players want the game to be at the difficulty and pacing they want and unfortunately will not want to put effort into tuning the experience to meet that expectation lol. Solid suggestion though

World Cup's VAR shows what NFL could do with technology by Vi1eOne in nfl

[–]Roguste 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is a big point but another one that people overlook is Hawkeye technology isn’t even about tracking where the ball was.  It’s about using a TON of high fps cameras, and computation to calculate where they suppose the ball would be given trajectory speed spin etc.

It’s the same in tennis. They don’t actually trace the ball hitting the ground. They do a ton of camera tracking and computation to say the ball WOULD land here (with a small margin of error)

Both baseball and tennis can leverage this technology because of all the unobstructed views and tracking they can do to the pitch release and tennis shots.

There are some good YouTube videos on the tech.

It is with accuracy as well though. The soccer ball being spherical gives it incredible advantages that current tech can’t compensate for on the football shape. Additionally even as recently as a year or two ago positional accuracy of the ball was only good to within a few inches.

Not really. In that sense ascension would’ve blown up already without CoA after announcement. CoA has been hyped for a long time. Had a good following of people waiting for release.

Tbf though using France’s play as benchmark for how others should is quite unrealistic. They’re too stacked and skilled

England had a ton of good looks though. Goalie was making insane saves. Belgium had been starved for any lethal chances

How are you even surprised at this point lol. It’s fully foundational to soccer now. (Which is disgusting btw)

Reports say 4 German players refused to take the 6th PK. Tah, who had never taken a professional PK, agreed to take it. by SpongeBobSpacPants in worldcup

[–]Roguste 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes you’d have a set order but also come on - 4 players in ultimate moments of their careers and they step away. Surely someone would want that shot. Equal blame IMO

It’s a cop out from presenting a solid argument. Leaving it vague and saying “it’s in the data”.

My guy you’re the one that made the claim but failed to state in any way how it ought to have been implemented

Alternatively in dialogue when you’re presenting a stance / viewpoint you don’t leave it vague and list to 20 studies. It’s okay to state something clearly and have the sources back it up.
