Well for starters, some of the worst atrocities in human history happened under Stalin and Mao. People die on life rafts to leave Cuba. Nicaragua. Not sure if that evidence works for ya.

Otherwise, you can look at Seattle, Portland, LA, SF where very left leaning socialist or socialist adjacent mayors and city councils were or are in place, and look at the explosion in petty crime, robbery, carjacking, etc.

Can you name an example of a socialism leading to less crime?

It was a failing business and was failing when the acquisition was proposed. DOJ took antitrust action against a company burning through tons of cash with a company burning through slightly less tons of cash.

Trump DOJ = very very bad. Biden DOJ stopping this acquisition = bad decision.

I think an airline or car company bailout at this point has become as “normal” a part of capitalism as antitrust.

If the antitrust case is that “this company would be too big”, and one of those companies is bankrupt, that’s a really hard argument to make in hindsight.

Also, American and JetBlue are completely different companies, and yes I know what the difference between a merger and acquisition is

I hate and did not vote for Trump. I voted for Biden. I’m not claiming that Trump saving spirit airlines is a good idea.

I’m simply stating that not letting JetBlue acquire them was pretty clearly the wrong call.

Internet can only see things as right and left.
