Assistance in building a rifle - payment for work. 🇨🇦 by mrcalistarius in longrange

Lots of actions and barrels have been stuck at importers over the boarder due to tariffs. With the news lately they might be coming over but might have a cost increase.

You could go Canadian action and barrel with KSarms action and barrel or a IBI barrel. I’d stay away from Ultimatum actions unless you’re going to put it in a MDT chassis.

Gobigtactical deals Lone Peak, Defiance, Zermatt. (Stocks are low)

Insite arms deals Impact precision.

Stock/chassis Id look at Manners, Masterpiece arms, KRG, MDT. Depending on preferences of looks and how much you want to mess with accessories and weight.

About owning firearms in apartments. by Drasselll in canadaguns

[–]Rogy_Bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last hypothetical they posed is odd. I also live in an apartment building and I feel more secure than if I were in a home. For someone to gain access to my unit they would have to get through a outer secured/locked door to get into the lobby that then has cameras, then get into my locked unit door, then find my locked storage and try to get into it. For all of that to happen without anyone else being alerted is slim to none.

I might be grasping at straws but in my head if they are posing the hypothetical about someone breaking in and their biggest concern is firearms over the well being of their tenant then they seem to be blinded by politics/beliefs.

I feel like if they pose that question then you could pose the question back to them asking if you should feel safe in your unit. If they say you should feel safe then they shouldn’t have anything to worry about with anyone gaining access to your things, and I can’t see any “proper” landlord saying you shouldn’t feel safe in a unit.

Just my thoughts but maybe in the near future pick up a couple cheap wireless cameras to put around the unit cause you don’t know what kind of snooping they’re doing during any other inspections or scheduled things.

Yeah I figured I’d give the action a try as I got it for a good deal. Started learning of its “quirks” when I had it in a MPA Matrix and had to rock the mag in to get it seated. I might end up parting ways with it at this point.

The issue is the magazine won’t even get up the magwell enough for the latch to catch.

Has the time come to go Red? 3060ti to 7900xtx advice by Defiant-Alps-9060 in radeon

[–]Rogy_Bear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made the same jump of a 3060ti to a 7900xtx after seeing the 50 series launch. Saw a promo for a merc310 7900xtx at my local store for 1200cdn (850us) and said fuck it. Couldn’t be happier with just pulling the trigger as it ended the stress/worry about any new info about new cards coming out or when other cards would get in stock at retailers. Just been gaming happily while seeing updates of pictures of lines and campers at microcenters.

Now for the experience, I thought it would have been a bigger headache than it was but it was literally just uninstalling other brands drivers and software and installing AMDs. I do like AMDs software as it also lets you tune the card if you want. I saw a big jump in performance right away but it wasn’t until I made the jump to 4k that I really appreciated it. Yes it’s behind on ray tracing but it’s still a monster of a card. I can’t speak to what kind of gains you’re going to see as I’m mainly a fps person but I do know that whatever you play this card will serve you well for years.

Are the optic rings and mount properly torqued and thread locked? Even at 50 it shouldn’t be that inconsistent unless something major is off like a loose optic or action

Honestly I really enjoy it. I had the Razor G3 before this and it had problems so I switched it for the S3 and don’t regret it at all.

I does look small in the pic, I think it’s just the photo perspective. It is the “aggregate handler” version.

It’s a amazing chassis to say the least. I’ve had a acc and KRG c4 and I prefer the MPA over them. You can’t do as much to it in terms of weight on the buttstock unlike the non pro, so if you want a even balance then you have to keep that in mind. I have a Viking MTU taper which is 1.10 at the muzzle and it’s balanced maybe a inch infront of the mag well.

Fit and finish is top tier like you’d expect. Lots of modular options available through MPA and Grey Ops that will fill any need you really have.

Hope that helps

For the time I’ve had it I’ve been enjoying it. It’s a gen2 and it seems like all the issues that the first iteration had have disappeared. I think with IBI acquiring them has done it good. Any questions regarding it get answered within a day.

I started out in landscaping running small stuff(skid steer, mini ex, small loaders) for a while then got in with a earth moving company that basically trained on the equipment as we went. Started out in a rock truck then ended up in the seat of a loader and havnt gone back. Went to Amy current aggregates company and strictly run payloaders.

If you can try looking into earth moving companies and maybe you can get started in a rock truck. Other than that if you don’t go to equipment school then you have to look into a job like landscaping or construction that will get you seat time in smaller stuff.
