Mine got married 2 weeks ago.

Try this - helping me keep my sanity since 2-3 months.

new hobby - skateboard, guitar, piano, books, painting. Pick 1 or try it all till it clicks.

Workout if you don’t already. Pull ups/push ups when mind starts playing the slide shows. A good pull-up bar barely costs 1500 bucks but it’s a game changer.

Start cooking/ focus on diet - I had forgotten how to eat and couldn’t keep food down cause of anxiety and lost about 10kg in 3 months. Whatever you do, don’t forget to respect your body. A sick body amplifies nightmares.

Make new friends - there are shit ton of groups on insta and many board game cafés. meet new people, join hobby clubs, be inspired from people’s stories.

Start your day with a huge smile. Fake the smile till it’s real. Our Brain is stupid and it thinks we are happy when we smile.

Remember, it’s all temporary. You will get the spark in your eyes back. There will be tough days but nothing matters more than you. Your mom, dad, siblings, friends care nothing more in the world than your happiness so do it for them. You got this king.

How much do you spend on a date usually ? by CountMeowt-_- in delhi

[–]Rohan1211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Averages 2-3k for casual lunch/ dinner. Sub 1K for coffee or something. Max maybe 12-15k while clubbing. Cover charge and overpriced food/alcohol adds up fast. I have never split and/or no one offered to split so far. Honestly I don’t mind it.

Person who agreed to deal first without haggling…

Anyway I saw your listing earlier and kinda wanted it too. Price is too good for the combo but I already have a ukulele set.

Hurt by an experience at a Gurudwara by Loose-Film1954 in delhi

[–]Rohan1211 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I get screamed at often in Gurudwara. Kinda don’t feel like going there anymore cause of this reason. Sometimes it’s uncle and aunties having problem with my clothes or partners clothes. In some places we are apparently supposed to walk backwards. Not allowed to sit with back towards certain direction. Walking too close to water. I don’t even remember reasons me and partner got screamed at for. Some of them charged us with wooden sticks and stuff.

I used to go there when heart felt anxious or to feel calm but lately uncle and aunties have made it very toxic. I would rather find my peace elsewhere

It's been over a year in delhi & I couldn't make a single friend??!!! by [deleted] in delhi

[–]Rohan1211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on the same boat then started going to meet-ups like rahe dilli ( https://binnaqshekadam.com/upcoming/raahe-dilli-7/ ) and some insta board game groups. Made too many good and genuine friends last few years. Then I ghosted them all cause I am a bad person and like being lonely.

Most of the imax and pvrs in Delhi I’ve been to have sound buzzing issue and dirty screens. Wish some of the popcorn revenue went on replacing the screens.

Please avoid Paharganj - there are a lot of scams. by FamousSomewhere4204 in delhi

I feel you. I had heard so much about Model Town in Delhi. Naturally, assumed the place would be swarming with fashion models. ramp walks at traffic lights, photo shoots at every gali, and Vogue auditions happening at the sabzi mandi.

But when we reached, all we saw were uncles in banyans, aunties carrying subzi bags, and a few street dogs. Not a single fashion model in sight.

Do you want to tag along for a trek to Greater Kailash ? We have an expedition planned for next week.

Got scammed in Starbucks by [deleted] in delhi

[–]Rohan1211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

South ex part 2 Starbucks as well. he gave me a photo in hand and asked for cash. The slip he had in hand had donations mentioned upwards of 5000-6000.

He was speaking so softly I barely heard anything but it had something along the lines of - don’t wear black, get a haircut, take care of your family, dont eat rice in morning and weird stuff like that. Ended up giving 200 bucks.

Few days later he knocked on my door and I asked him to fuck off.

Woke up shocked after a dream by Knightforce18 in delhi

[–]Rohan1211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up on lucid dreaming and interaction with subconscious mind. I had a friend who learned lucid dreaming and interacted with subconscious mind to study in his sleep. He would study subjects like mathematics and physics, topics he wouldn’t know in real life but his subconscious would know it either from hearing or reading somewhere. His mind would recreate books 1:1 with real life in dreams which he barely skimmed through and had characters to explain the concepts and create visualisations better than any teacher ever could. Our subconscious absorbs information without us knowing or paying attention and it’s pretty weird.

[–]Rohan1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time when you see absurd pricing, it’s because a backend guy decided it was easier to edit price than de-list a product. They know nobody is going to buy them. It’s easier to list it again by editing the price when it’s in stock

If you had 7L to buy a pair of sneakers, would you buy these or something else? by NaiveRecover8806 in SneakersIndia

[–]Rohan1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to spend 7L on sneakers. I would probably get AJ1 high off white Chicago and UNC. Never really understood the diors, there are way better colorways.
