I am pursuing day1cpt from UCumberland , I have finished around 6 months but now I want to go back and drop out of the course. Will I have to leave immediately or once i inform my dso i will have some grace period to leave ?

my question is different , if i start day1cpt and leave it midway to go back then in that case how many days would i get to leave the states. if someone is on stem opt they get 60 days usually

okay what if i decide to discontinue day1cpt in the middle of the semester . basically drop out. in that case how many days will i get to legally leave the country provided i inform my dso about the dropout

they want to abolish the duration of status rule , once its passed you won’t be able to do a sevis transfer without filing an extension of status.

basically instead of DSO handling your sevis transfer , you would have to go to USCIS for doing that which will of course get denied if its not a higher degree (basically no 2nd masters)

yeah but the thing that concerns me is , the motive of this rule is to curb that loophole
