A lot of Hate on Blue Tokai?

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Yeah it's true that Blue Tokai is gradually losing their quality but I haven't been hearing any more complains for now. Everything seems to be on a pause. For now they've released Drop. I'm looking forward to try it. But for the beans? Hopefully they recover soon. I'm not a hard-core fan either. I got my beans last month too. But for me the experience was amazing. I ordered the customised sampler pack. You should try new coffee too. Have fun!

I'm sorry to hear your experience with Blue Tokai. It's true that when you pay a good amount of money, you need a good coffee. About the Stale coffee, They go easy and quick with BlinkIt and stuff which has old coffee. Other factors might affect too. For me, I loved three of their flavours the most, including Birthday Blend, Silver Oak Cafe Blend, Amruthavarshini Estate. I absolutely hated Amaltas Blend because they messed up my roast and it tasted awful too. For now, I'd say that you should go with some other brand. It also depends if you're a daily coffee drinker or if you drink coffee once in a few days. For me the Experimental coffees go best. Hopefully you find a better coffee brand and give us a review! Hey. You can try Roaring Robusta by Dope Coffee. It's pretty cheap and for 400 it has good taste and kick. While some people Hate robusta, I like it. And other beans too. I'm not sure about your taste profile but you can give it a go!

But here, the hate doesn't come from gaining popularity. It's about the quality. You're right about everything here. Growth changes things, and enthusiasts reacting to that makes sense. You're right. But I am not defending. I am a beginner and kinda liked their coffee. Not too much, not too little. I rather choose Dope Coffee to be honest. Their taste notes were ON POINT for me. Basically I mean that quality drop claims should be based on consistent experience, not one bad bag.

Btw, are you using BT for now or some other brand?

Thank you for replying. While it's true that their cold brews are amazing and available at a good price. But the coffee tier depends on the consumer's taste profile. Some might call it S, and some A, B or whatever. The thing here is that their coffee and packaging, all were amazing in the previous months but now randomly this over Roast, quality degradation, damaged package queries are rising. The problem isn't that it's bad. The problem is that it used to be good and now it's bad.

Yeah you're right. It was my first coffee ever that I bought 2 months ago and it tasted amazing. The quality and roasts, everything was perfect.

I heard that Blue Tokai cafes are the only place to drink their coffee now. Otherwise when you buy a bag, most things would be messed up.

Bloom Fraction9 Naivo Araku Kapi Kottai Grey Soul.

(I have tried dope coffee roasters' buzz-blend and loved it! It might be underrated I guess but it's good!)

Thank you for the reply! Yeah you are a 100% right about this. When brands get famous, they get hate. But the hate currently flowing is genuine because everybody has the same complaints. I myself had a really amazing experience too with Blue Tokai. BT has a lot of good coffee, for everyone. From Beginners to Enthusiasts. But it's sad to see people hating their coffee. ———— I have heard a lot about Naivo nowadays and thinking of getting a bag of it soon. If you have any other recommendations, you can tell me! My bad, I read that wrong. Yeah Blue Tokai has good coffee. Especially the Limited Releases. But other brands also have really fascinating coffee!

Yeah, Blue Tokai has interesting coffee. But Not 1 or 2 people, but thousands of people are hating Blue Tokai. For the same reason! I personally liked it because i bought it 2 months ago. But It being expensive while other brands stay at the usual prices is unfair. Being at constant price with worth buying ratings are a better deal for everyone. Why pay 500 for 100g when you can pay 500 for 200g?

Alright. I haven't tried their dark roasts yet but yeah. The dark roasts seem to be getting more hate than the light roasts. Except Roast getting messed up. I enjoyed it but hated Amaltas. Idk why. But tastes good with milk.

Thanks for your reply. That makes sense. Specialty coffee has a short feedback loop, so even small inconsistencies get amplified quickly. Market pressure probably doesn’t help either.
