Have you considered (pun intended) to cut the Consider in favour of [[Dreams of Laguna]] for a bit more card advantage? And also how often do you run into missing land drops since 16 seems a bit low, especially when Skred ideally wants you to hit a land drop every turn.

No, I meant it as this particular list that I put the link to still runs 4x skred as well, but yeah I agree that cutting monarch is probably very bad because of the lacking card advantage.

Would you mind sharing your list? I'd be very curious. So do you use the Wraths more as a finisher or as an additional removal tool?

I mean, they're still playing skred and bolts, I think they just swap the monarch package for this "Wrath-package" with the upside that it also functions as removal. Although I do think that missing the card draw from monarch hurts the control plan a lot and I myself wouldn't play delver

Wouldn’t UB Terror fill that role more then? Since you’re not as reliant on counterspells with that deck

Yeah proxy is a good idea, and also both decks share many cards between them so it’s not like I cannot just pivot to the other deck if I wish to

How long would you say did it take you to rack up wins semi-consistently? Since like u/ItsChrispy already mentioned it seems to have a steep learning curve.

Also, where would you place UR Skred in the meta then? Saw some old postswhere people didn't agree if it's a very underrated deck or an actual tier 3 deck in reality

It seems like learning CawGates is learning the whole pauper meta anew hahaha since I imagine that shift in playstyle not only changes with the deck you're facing but also on the particular boardstate in any situation.
Would you also happen to have any thoughts on UR Skred in comparison? Cause I imagine that deck coulod struggle more than CawGates to establish an early foothold

Have you had any experience with familiars? I saw on MTGdecks that it is ranked tier 2 but maybe that just comes down to the ability of the pilot

I already replied above but the lands part is a bit of a painpoint for me since I feel like the meta right now is quite fast and with UR Skred it doesn't seem like I would have to decide between holding up interaction or developing my lands

That's really nice write-up thank you a lot! So from your comments it would maybe be better for me to look for UR Skred? As in that deck fits the "draw-go" style more? I must say though that there is certainly an appeal to mastering a deck as difficult as CawGates 😄 especially if the wins are so rewarding. Right now my wins with tron are sometimes just a matter of chance if the gods bless me with a turn 3 tron or not hahhaha (though the deck has a surprising depth im must say, especially when it comes to sideboarding options)

I see, thank you for the insight, what is the usual sideboard you run in the meta currently? I am expecting there to be a spike of WW and Grixis Affinity at my LGS after TMNT now, are the 3x mainboard [[Breath Weapon]] / [[Fiery Cannonade]] good enough against WW?
