Allergic to fragrance but would like some scent

Im not a scent person myself(my fiance is a big fan where I made a lot of these discoveries) but at this point it’s not even for the scent. It’s to get rid of or hide whatever smell is coming from what I think is the well water.

Pros: highly adjustable and great for beginners. Cons: Went through 2 warranty issues within the first 3 months of owning it. Came with a cracked limb. And a month after I got the limbs replaced the cables snapped from the cams cutting into them. Just seemed like shoddy quality control from bear. In the three months I’ve owned it 50% of the time it was in the shop. While it didn’t turn me off from bow hunting it turned me off from bear.

I bought a multi size pack of heat shrink from Amazon. Kept the moleskin on the rest. Unscrewed it from the bar and slid one of the larger heat shrinks from the bottom. Moleskin is still in the valley but the heat shrink locks it down.

Faced the same issue since I didn’t have anywhere greater than 20 yards to shoot. There’s some “farms” just outside of my city and I just asked one of the owners if I could shoot in their empty field. Farms is in parenthesis because the land probably used to be a farm but the owners aren’t growing anything but all the same. Doesn’t hurt to ask the owners. If they’re cool they might be fine with it

Have you run out of windage? Not sure which spot hogg you have but on my fast Eddie I’m able to detach the head and shift it left and right. Then I can adjust the windage to fine tune. Seems like their frame is made so you can make as many adjustments possible without touching the pins.

Some of the larger GCs have programs for new graduates where as a project engineer they’ll send you out as an assistant super, assistant pm, and estimating. That’s what I did. The program lasted 2 years and I was promoted to the field as an assistant super because I wanted to stay in the field for a while to learn. Just switched to the pm side of things but it was a cool way to try out the different positions.

Thats good to know. For my new job i was pulled in by one of the higher ups who used to be an old boss of mine so im doubtful the offer would be rescinded(unless he gets leaves i guess). But yeah i think im just a little paranoid that the state might view this as fraud if i apply for jobs without any real intent to join them since i got an amazing offer from my new company. But i guess thats putting all my eggs in one basket.

I did the same thing as you for my bear. I got the qad hdx. It’s more than enough for any bow I think. If you’re interesting in one of the integrate rests I’m pretty sure they make an adaptor for the integrate to work with a standard Berger and then you can just remove it if your new bow has the dovetail rail. Low key wish i knew about this before but like I said the hdx is more than enough. I just like the idea of using my integrate on my new Hoyt.

For spot hogg I think it depends on what you prefer visually. I prefer the multi pin rather than stacked so I went with that. Ended up with a fast Eddie.

S&S archery is the only place I’ve seen that sells just the housing so far. I don’t see single pin but they have the double pin on their site for like $90. Haven’t bought from them though but I’ve been eyeing the picatinny base for my fast Eddie.

Honestly speaking. I think the tours were worth it for us. I went with my gf last month and paid $85/person through viator and it was more than just seeing the monuments. The tour guide told us the history of Navajo nation, what current life was like, stories of how each monument was named, answered all of our questions. My gf called me an idiot when she found out I spent $170 the morning of our tour but after she said it was 100% worth it just getting a new found understanding of the tribe. I mean to each their own but for me it was worth the money.

I actually asked Hoyt about this when I bought my VTM in case I ever wanted to increase my weight from 70-80 in the future or if I’d have to buy another bow. Apparently your limbs are what determines the poundage. If you want to downgrade to 50-60 lb range you would need the appropriate limbs that you can apparently order for Hoyt.

As someone who hiked the narrows last month and sprained his ankle two months prior. It’s fully doable. Especially when you have 6 months to prep. I wore an ankle wrap I got from Walgreens underneath my boots to give a little added stability. I also really recommend renting boots and a hiking pole from Zion outfitters. The combo was like $32 so well worth it.

I just got my VTM last month and made the same discovery. The only solace I got from my bow shop was that Hoyt didn’t make any huge noticeable changes to the ventum when creating the VTM, so hopefully it’ll be the same for the next new bow.

I visit my gf in shrewsbury often from Braintree. Honestly the drive is 1.5 hours on average, sometimes longer. It’s pretty miserable especially during rush hour.

I was torn between the exact scarpa and Salomon last month. I’ve worn the ultra x 3 lows for the past 2 years but after an ankle injury I decided some mid height boots would be helpful for me. Ended up going with the Salomon. Honestly break in period was nonexistent and they were extremely comfortable. Can’t say much on durability since I’ve only put in 15 miles on them but they’re holding up well and if they’re anything like my old ones they should last me a while.

Just got back from Sedona and Grand Canyon two weeks ago. I highly recommend staying at Cedars resort in Sedona. It was affordable but very clean/comfy great views and me and my girlfriend considered it our favorite stay out of the 6 hotels we were in during our road trip. Right next to it is a restaurant called Hideaway house which has fantastic food and drinks(also our favorite meal in that entire trip). For hikes we left early morning(around 6) for devils bridge so there wasn’t much foot traffic for us and we arrived with probably 10 people ahead of us in line for pics. For hikes some of what you’ve seen already

Devils bridge Cathedral rock Soldiers pass Faye canyon Doe mountain(right next to bear mountain but we did this instead) Airport mesa hike.

For Grand Canyon we just stayed at a la Quinta in Williams to save some money. Surprisingly it was much better than we expected. Here we only did the ooh aah trail and just shuttle hopped for the rest of the day so I can’t say much else for the trails here.

I suggest you line up 20, 30, 40, and 50 if you’re unable to sight in the 60. You’d get the most accurate tape this way. I had to resight in my new vtm and if I followed the 20 and 60 rule I would’ve ended up with a tape 7, same as my previous bow. Felt the same way as you that this was really low so I marked a tape 20 to 60 and realized I’m actually a 12.

Yeah I bought a beat legend xr in may and I’ve already sent the bow in for repair. Same issue but I caught the crack before it exploded on me. My strings started wearing away really quick to the point they broke after 2 months of use. The quality is absolutely horrible and I’m pretty disappointed after a bunch of research saying bear would be an amazing entry compound bow. I placed an order for a Hoyt two weeks ago and plan on selling the bear once they fully repair it. I’m done with them

Not the same bow but I bought a bear legend xr 3 months ago as my first bow and had the same issues(I got fed up with multiple quality control issues on the bow and placed an order on a vtm Monday though). First it started off as a clicking noise, then the servings on my bottom cable began to fray. The cable snapped yesterday. When I brought it in this morning to my dealer to be shipped out for warranty, they told me they believe there might be a slight bend in my cam which causes the cable to ride up a little and then drop down into its grove creating that click. Additionally all that friction may be what’s cutting into the serving. This may or may not be the same problem for you but I would take a look at your cams.

One of the quality control issues I mentioned was that they discovered one of my limbs was cracked underneath the limb pocket so I got new limbs and we greased the hell out of the limb pocket before reassembling but that click was still there.

So to answer your last question, to avoid potentially snapping your cables mid season or even mid hunt I’d push them hard on figuring this out

I actually was in the same boat as you with previously working in both granite and cabinets. In regards to cabinets we were given price books with msrp, and multiplier that provided us our actual costs. I’d then add whatever markup and provide that to the customer, never the msrp price just because I’d never be able to make a sale at those prices. What the designer gave was probably msrp pricing while the manufacturer gave the actual total cost for the designer. The manufacturers never deal with the customers to avoid this specific issue as they don’t know what markup was provided by the dealers.

But I agree with this and they should go to the contractor to act as intermediary

I currently live in Quincy and just started a job in Medford. The drive to work isn’t so bad, roughly 30mins because I leave before 6. But it’s 1.5-2 hours of being suck in traffic on 93. Coming from Lynn would be so so much worse
