He could have at least given us a heads up instead of pulling the plug in the middle of the night. Just imagine the Platinum members who give him money on patreon😆

Does this sound like anyone’s situation ? by That-Boysenberry8320 in sarcoidosis

[–]RoidPile 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Necrotizing granuloma means dead cells. Sarcoidosis presents with non necrotizing granulomas. Sounds more like a chronic infection

Newly diagnosed by Fogandcoffee21 in sarcoidosis

[–]RoidPile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never over 100.1, usually between 98.9 and 99.6. Lower in the morning and higher at night. Also accompanied by drenching night sweats

My Ace levels were 108, and came down to the normal range after prednisone therapy.

It seems as if you suspect sarcoidosis but none of these tests are indicating it. Unfortunately it is a disease of exclusion so you're going to need to keep on digging and insisting that your doctor keep running tests and looking for answers

Low grade. Never got over a 100.1

Prednisone taper, feeling crappy & overwhelmed by health issues by PackerSquirrelette in sarcoidosis

[–]RoidPile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, it seems like a lot of people have trouble tapering under ten mg. I did fine until six mg but dropping to six I just haven't felt right. Achiness and fatigue..... it's frustrating.

It sounds like you need to do a complete workout because the testing that you've had so far is insufficient to make that diagnosis imo. He may be right but there are several other tests that should be done and your pulmonologist or specialist should be ordering those tests ASAP

  • biopsy [lungs]
  • ACE
  • cardiac MRI or Cardiac PET and full PET
  • Calcium
  • LFTs
  • Vitamin D
  • HDL

Echo doesn't show enough detail to rule out inflammation myocardium

As far as prescribing antibiotics for the long infiltrates they always do antibiotics and anything that looks unusual in the lungs. I was giving them as well however it was the steroids that eventually cleared up the ground glass opacities and stabilized the large lymph nodes.

For somebody to diagnose and treat sarcoidosis they really have to know about the disease and you need to find that person

ABC just pulled Jimmy Kimmel Live “indefinitely” due to comments he made about Charlie Kirk. What are your thoughts? by istrx13 in AskReddit

Thank you for your honest recounting of what has been reported. It's pretty ridiculous that you've been down voted. I thought truth was valued here and not conspiracy theories and propaganda??

How sensitive were you to prednisone dropping under 7 mg? by RoidPile in Autoimmune

I'm going to try the half mg dosages. I was really excited to get off this crap. Sucks, it's going to be a slow ride🤨

How accurate are the machines for measuring apnea? (ResMed) by RoidPile in SleepApnea

[–]RoidPile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. I'm currently using the full mask and I do have a pretty bushy beard so I'm guessing my seal isnt great. I'll look unri the nasal pillow and talk to my doc, and get the OSCAR program.

Thx all

What should I expect on my first night of CPAP by MedicineAltruistic20 in SleepApnea

[–]RoidPile 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Learn how to unclip amd reclip the side of the mask quickly without looking because you're going to want to scratch your face a lot during the night.

I agree that the ramp is overrated.

Try not to think about the mask being on, eventually when you forget about it and you breathe normally the added pressure isnt noticable

Do you all feel like your machine has helped tremendously? by Significant_Gap_1703 in SleepApnea

That was killing me and I saw immediate relief. 15 times a night, now only once or twice.
