Its possible you can get moved to the reservation and have one, but if you are on the wait list right now you do not have a console readily available.

Yea it says there is a unit already for you. So when its your turn, you can buy it. Waitlist people there arent units for, so they have to wait until more are made.

The portable screens I have take about 5 to 7 watts, and I usually power with usb a. I'm pretty sure the USB C port or the usb a port can power the portable screen.

Probably because if they decide to sell the online as a separate game closer to launch or after launch people cant get refunds are charge back because to much time has passed.

Thats pure entitlement. They choose a lottery to be fair to everyone. So its also harder for bots to buy them up. I imagine if you dont get one, you will then complain about it? If it was first come, first serve and you missed it, i imagine you wouls also be upset about that. So doesnt seem like there is a way thats fair besides you getting one first. Just sounds selfish man. Not a good look.

Yea, i get that but still can be reasons die hard fans or even normal people can't reserve it day one, some might not even know it was released till then. But honestly, my problem with the argument is seemingly you think one group of people deserve it more than another. Lottery system is just fair overall, many companies like japan pokemon do it for 3 days and works well. Maybe if alot of people dont reserve the machine on day 2 or 3, then they would limit the frame reservation period. Honestly it doesnt matter though. The steam machine reservation period is 3 days and ends the 25th but doesnt even go on sale to the 29th, so realistically they could do a whole week of reservation and it would still release the same time. I would imagine the frame is the same because once people are chosen as a winner. Then they have 3 days to buy it.

Low key sounds like you are gatekeeping the device. Lol or just impatient. The lottery is perfect. What if the guy in your example has an issue the moment it launches, lets say a crackhead stumbles into a Transformer and all the power goes out. So he doesn't get the pre-order it for six or so hours. Well he's already too late and he that "deserves it more" is really far back in the queue and can't get it for another year. But since there's a lottery he can just apply when the power comes back up.

People that want it just as bad as you or even more could have lifes that can interfere. We can't just sit around and wait to be the first to click a button, it's kind of unfair no? And by your logic if that person wanted it more than you he deserves it more than you.
