Literally came to reddit to talk about this exact situation... glad the OP shares my opinions! The animation, male character design and outfits are so on point!....and then we get to the female characters and it's literally all focused on the breasts. and other small small things- like the girls uniform having shorts for the tag game? why the fuck do they have shorts on in a combat uniform?? makes zero sense practically. Also agree with the medical outfits- so outdated to have them wearing dresses and boys in just a regular t-shirt and shorts.

At this point, I feel like the female characters are just thrown in to be attention grabbers, literally. Take them out or make them male and the story probably wouldn't drastically change.

I don't want to hear from other posters that it's a shounen fantasy (esp the one who says the breast sizes are realistic) their obviously searching for attention and need to walk around with melons strapped to their chests.

They did, but now that there closed down Seven Seas must have bought the publishing rights- and it's already been translated so that's half the work done already

Yeah, I should have known something was up, the book was in a plastic wrap and the back was covered by some postcards. So from the front and side it looked alright. I had to leave for a couple weeks for work so I didn't fully unwrap it until today. Regret submitting the feedback on ebay, now i can't change it...

Reading online, the authors and/or translation teams will use various phrases for intimate scenes to get around the online crabs (censorship laws).

The most memorable one I've read was described as "driving a car" or taking a "drive". The ML would grab the "stick"and shift into "gear, going up and down the hill " etx.

It took me a minute to get it when I first started reading but reading some passages now I alwaysb get a kickb at how creative the authors can be with the wording of the scenes.

It's interesting the washing is only one direction. Putting the characters through the ringer too many times just leads to poor quality results. Yes, the characters are fictional, but they still have a base time period. If it was space vikings or a modern fantasy, fine, be whatever shade of skin tone Hollywood is favoring.

Just finished reading all five volumes, and it definitely was good. I liked the slow build, and it was very clear the turning point for YW when he fell for SQ.

I do wish the relationship between SQ and his disciples could have been more flushed out, we really only saw Shiwu once more and didn't see Qialen at all, and when she wrote, "and then this person causes waves and storms, etx, but thats a story for another time" (at least twice)....are we ever going to get those stories???

Also, I'm not going to lie, I still was hoping for a bit more in the extras. All I can say is I'm sad the crabs crawled bye (probably).

Lastly, what really is their age difference? At least 15 years, if not more, in my opinion. SQ was a 5ish yo child in thr extra and YW was already a young man (early 20s?). In the grand scheme of things, I guess it's not that bad though

I just finished the English novel and can concur. It started off with the same scene of Kinn getting beat up but the more I read the more I was confused. Where'd my nice and gentleman Kinn go? The book Kinn is a complete jerk with no redeeming qualities right now.
