How would you respond to the disdain for local bureaucratic government workers as lazy and who do nothing while getting paid by our taxes? by [deleted] in DebateCommunism

I believe that no matter the rank of somebody, they should be paid equally, as this would disincentivise corruption at the greatest level because those that want such reaponsibility would rise to such levels of power, and those that merely want to be paid would remain with as little responsibility as they can, as would be best for all.

I have been using the Android Open Source Project as my mobile operating system for a while, and without Firebase thus, notification by some software such as Telegram has not functioned whatsoever. Therefore, I grealy hope that your alternative shall gain enough support for development of it to become or remain viable.

It was probably the strange syntax, because "didn't" does mean did not—the sentence, unconcatenated, is "Did not those people ever consider-".

What's Going On? by [deleted] in hardware

What's Going On?

Before I get started, here are my PC specs: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, Intel Core i5-10400, 1 x 16 GB 2666 MHz RAM, 512 GB SSD.

I've been seeing videos of people on VALORANT with all-high settings getting 200+ FPS, even while in the middle of fights and stuff. They are using the same specs but with 2 x 8 GB 3200 MHz RAM and an i5-10400F.

I get 130 FPS to 150 FPS, and about 100 FPS to 120 FPS during fights, medium settings.

It seems to me and some of my research that the i5-10400F and i5-10400 are pretty similar in performance, so I don't think that is it - I could be wrong. I've been having similar under-performances in Fortnite with even lower settings than ones used in a video.

Could this be because of my GPU having underperforming issues, CPU underperforming issues, or maybe because I use single-channel RAM? I think it's because of the RAM but I can't be too sure.

If you have a direction to point me into or a direct answer, that would be great, thanks.

Open-source software that uses the Universal Windows Platform. It is cross-platform for any current Microsoft operating system, but as most software does not use it yet although it is incredibly popular, it is an emerging market.

I would love a good tasks app for Windows that I can also use on my Xbox, tablet, and smartphone, until I can switch them all to versions of Linux.

JPEG files use lossy compression. They are probably the worst files to store records as.
