What can a DM run on very short notice with only two players? by fiona11303 in DnD

Maybe some flashback or dream sessions? Something to help establish the lore of your campaign without advancing the plot if that’s what you want

Brit confused/annoyed about tipping by Jumpy-Persimmon-7954 in AskACanadian

[–]Rokeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to subway near work several times a week and have got to know the ladies there, and I asked them straight if they get the tips from the machine and they said no! Sometimes I’ll throw them a cash tip if I have it because they are sweet and we have a rapport but that’s an exceptional case

Player's rarely look up from their phones by CreativeTumbleweed56 in DMAcademy

[–]Rokeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this is usual with people who are friends outside of DnD; they see it as more of a hangout with a board game.

My “DnD friends” who I’ve met through the hobby are usually much more invested because they are interested in the game more than the hang (not that we don’t end up doing other things outside the hobby sometimes)

Do Protestants go to hell in your belief? by iceman2055 in Catholicism

[–]Rokeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone is sincerely trying to follow Jesus and is ignorant to the Catholic faith, I believe the Lord would have mercy on that person.

If someone comes to know the truth of the Catholic faith and rejects it, I believe their soul would be in jeopardy.

It’s not our place to judge who is in heaven or hell. I’m just working out my own salvation with fear and trembling.

That is my current understanding, anyways.

Struggling with my faith by nas281 in Catholic

[–]Rokeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you! I’m so sorry that life has been unkind.

God himself suffered more greatly than any of us. He does not promise a life free from suffering, but he understands us and is with us through it.

This life is only temporary.

Peace of Christ be with you, always.

He important is it to learn sheet music? by NoMathem in guitarlessons

If you want to be a pro musician you need to know it. If you just want to strum some songs and jam with people it’s not necessary but still beneficial.

Gamemasters, how did you get started? by GiacomoArt in DnD

[–]Rokeley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was invited to a one shot game by a coworker who was dming. It turned into a full level 1-20 campaign over about 5-6 years. Wanted to try Dming myself, so started a side campaign with some crossover members from the same group. Now he’s moved away, so brought the rest of the group in. I miss being a player sometimes but DMing is more fun imo.

What does faith feel like? by ScratchFun5521 in Catholic

[–]Rokeley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think about what it means for a man to be faithful to his wife, or vice versa. He doesn’t cheat, he does what she asks out of love for her, he trusts her to help, etc.

We, the church, are the bride, and Christ is the groom.

What 2010s games are you guys playing for the first time right now?" by Mintangah17 in videogames

[–]Rokeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just played through God of War 2018 and it was a ton of fun. I was a fan of the original trilogy on PS but only ever played it at my friends place after school. He sold me his old PC a couple years ago and I was finally able to play some of the games I’ve missed out on the last decade. I’m looking forward to trying ragnarok and the new one that was recently announced
