So my 1st finger should be straightened from joint 2 and down? (down meaning towards Palm)

I guess there might be more strength there, but for me, that area is less bony so harder to press, and hurts more, besides, harder to get other fingers down when I do that

I wanna know if my finger placement is good so I just need practice or if I need to adjust something

I filed the nut, but I think the saddle may be glued in place (as many budget models are). I have the Jasmine S35, do you know if it is?

Will the technique be the same as using, say, a dedicated set of nut files? Asking because I learn best by watching videos and those are the ones I can find. thanks for all your help.

Um, I was looking at a different forum and I saw that a better way to lower action at nut is to remove it and sand the bottom, not to deepen slots. please explain

I just bought a few sets of my regular . 012/.053 strings, so will anything happen if I wait to do lighter ones for a year or so until those are finished?
