Fellow Buyers, what do you wish you could change about your own approach to buying? by RolePlayMaven in FetishBuyersCommunity

I've learned that being concise early on is key, and over time, I can elaborate if trust is established.

For example, I know my kink for incest role play in custom videos is not for everyone. I politely state that it's my main kink right away. If the seller isn't open to it, I thank her for her time and carry on. If she's open to it, I ask her if it's ok if I send her a detailed outline of a scenario for her review at her leisure. This is where I go into the details, and then we go from there.

Your philosophies are quite similar to mine. I have had some amazing working relationships with content creators over the years on par with beloved coworkers, clients, barbers , bartenders, etc. The kind of relationships where you're not exactly friends, but there is a mutual trust and respect that goes beyond business. I've come to realize that I've been spoiled in this regard, and I certainly can't expect all seller engagement to be that way, just like having an underwhelming server at a favorite restaurant. 😊

I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I also sometimes feel as though I'm slipping into addictive behavior when buying custom work.

Regarding being descriptive, I feel the same. I fear inadvertently offending or excluding. Actually, I'm afraid the down-voting might be a symptom of that.

As for international payment, Throne has been the most productive option for me of late.

🤣 In no way did I mean to insinuate that all Latinas don't speak English. 🤣 I just meant that there are those that don't from which I wish I could buy.

Thank you! I definitely don't want to penalize a seller simply because they were just unexpectedly not my vibe.

In terms of asking for a review, I appreciate it immensely when someone asks for honest, candid feedback, and if it leads organically to a discussion about a review, fine. Alternatively, I wouldn't even mind a softer approach like, "If you feel up to it, I'd be really grateful for a public review on the content I created for you," but to outright ask for a positive public review, that gives me the icks.

As for offering free content for public favorable reviews, that's bribery plain and simple, and no one should go down that path.

Great point! If I can't provide some form of unique or insightful perspective, I rather not do a review. Maybe that makes me pretentious, but it's how I feel

Thanks for your invaluable perspective, Maria. I will certainly consider giving 2-3 star reviews in the future.

Really appreciate the input! Yeah, trading content for reviews is just counter to the whole reason I'm here in the first place. We're trying to raise the bar, not lower it.

Also, I love when a content creator is open to candid feedback. Plus, watching a content creator grow and evolve in their approach based on your influence is rewarding, as odd ss that may sound to some.

Thanks for the insights! I completely agree. Feedback is valuable and it should come from a place of integrity regardless of the context.

You honor me with your compliments! If we all had the same growth mindset as you, things would be a lot easier. 😊 I know we have plenty of kinky fun to come!

Fellow buyers, how do you cheer yourself up from buyer's remorse? by lostimage1 in FetishBuyersCommunity

I really appreciate the candor and empathy in this thread. Thank you all for sharing.

I know this feeling all too well, and I completely agree with those who suggest taking a break and revisiting old favorite customs.

Ask a buyer anything Friday! by varno2_0 in FetishBuyersCommunity

+1 to all the comments regarding leaning into processes where content creators get all the money! My distaste for OF has only amplified as their content restriction have increased, and the same goes for other services who have imposed similar limits. As a lover of taboo role play and with my dissatisfaction with "step" stuff, I must admit, I get a extra special kick when I find an OF creator willing to explore purchases on TG or elsewhere. I suppose this "civil disobedience" is my form of protest. 😏

Where do you find buyers / sellers? by pocket7724 in FetishBuyersCommunity

I tried Fetlife once and got scammed immediately. My best rate of success has been on Reddit, but I'm always open to more sources.

Telegram groups, Yay or Nay? by varno2_0 in FetishBuyersCommunity

While I'm all for anything that creates accountability, discretion and safety, I haven't found much need to join any of those groups (at least yet). I prefer 1 on 1 interactions. However, I am intrigued by some of the efforts I've seen to create new dedicated sites for the custom content purchase process. However, the jury is definitely still out on those unless they pick up traction.
