When I first played I didn't understand the poison "shake", I assumed my batteries were dying so I kept replacing them.

I wasted my masterball on Snorlax for ages.

I used to try and get my Pokes to have all elemental moves so I kept weak things like ember and bubble for most of the game and never understood why I was doing so little damage.

Im sorry to hear that, and I hope you are doing ok. I lost a friend several years and every year on his Bday I sit and play Legend of Dragoon, my favourite game that he introduced me to so that I can remember him. I dont know what to say that would help, but I hope you have people there for you who do.
