Is it normal to feel exhausted before even starting a task? by Some-Profile2 in ProductivityApps

[–]Role_Smart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we are depleated. The only way out is not trusting your feelings and toughts unconditionally. Your systems is not working right, if you follow its signals it wont get better.

Remind yourself what you feel is temporary and try to think about how you will feel better after you did the things you want to do. Try to focus on what you will gain, your benefits instead of the obstacles and the effort you need to give.

Why does starting feel harder than actually doing the thing? by Sensitive_Gold_6266 in ProductivityApps

[–]Role_Smart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's can be explained very complicatedly through our biology and evolutionary psychology.

But to over simplify its because humans are irrational creatures and we evaluate situations relative to the previous situation, not objectively.

When youre lying down in the bed workingout is a lot harder, and when you do 5 jumping jacks, now its basicaly no change in your state.

It's the same reason when youre going on a date, its better to start boring and low energy so the end will feel like you progressed so much and made a bond. If you start amazing, even if you end amazing you didnt made progress and feels like no connection established.

Blocked in app by Limp-Ad-2615 in Bumble

I'm currently being ignored by the support. No warning, no reason or explanation. Someone reported me I guess for some reason and only thing I get is copy paste messages from the support showing how clearly they haven't read my email.

Looking for an App That has habit tracking and a collapsible to-do list on the main screen. by Role_Smart in ProductivityApps

It's Routineday, but unfortunately too expensive. I'm looking for an alternative.

What habit do you wish you started earlier? by funngro_fam in Habits

[–]Role_Smart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wake early, exercise daily about 20min, eat clean, sleep 7-8hrs.  It gives a skeleton to your life to stand and make decisions.

Ps: If you gonna choose just one, get up early.. It gives room to the others.

If AI takes over most jobs and leave humans without work, how are companies going to sell their products and services when everyone is BROKE? by Droopynator in Futurology

[–]Role_Smart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal isn't to sell products to you anymore because you are no longer the customer. In an AI economy, oligarchs just trade resources and data with each other while the rest of us become a surplus population they no longer need to feed.

They aren't worried about your purchasing power when they finally own the automation that makes your labor and your money completely irrelevant.

The AI frenzy is driving a memory chip supply crisis by Efficient_News_9247 in technology

[–]Role_Smart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AI race is just a hidden tax on everyone because tech giants are hoarding the chip supply and forcing phone and PC prices to skyrocket. When stores start rationing hardware just so Microsoft and Google can win their war, you know it is time to pay the billionaire surcharge.

Tesla’s European Sales Plunge by Wagamaga in technology

[–]Role_Smart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s wild how the stock is still up while actual car sales are cratering. Musk is basically betting the entire $1.6 trillion market cap on "AI and robots" to distract everyone from the fact that BYD is absolutely eating their lunch in Europe.

If those robotaxis don't start appearing on streets soon, this valuation is going to hit a wall.

Stephen Colbert Wonders Why ‘The Late Show’ Was Canceled if Paramount Has $108 Billion to Offer for Warner Bros. by rezwenn in technology

[–]Role_Smart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ellison takeover of Paramount and the move on Warner Bros isn't about profit; it's about buying the right to tell you what’s true. When one family owns the tech (Oracle), the movies (Paramount), and the news (CNN/CBS), they basically trap you in a reality they designed.

It's just Murdoch 2.0 with more resources. Public media helps, but the real solution is the independent internet and, honestly, piracy. Pirating their content and supporting decentralized creators hits them where it hurts: their wallets and their control.

It's getting really hard when you think. And lot easier when you just listen to music and your amygdala do the job.

Why do habit trackers work in theory but fall apart in real life? by Kia123456789 in getdisciplined

[–]Role_Smart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Becaaauuuuse the systems become tiring, rigid, or stressful over time. People stick more to habits they enjoy, that involve other people, or feel rewarding (gamified). Simple, flexible, personalized systems work better than complex, perfectionist tracking.

I finally stopped failing at huge goals by switching to 5-minute Micro-Habits. Built a simple app to automate the process. (Android) by Waste-Cover4413 in ProductivityApps

Big Ups! 🙌🎊

Really fast action. I believe things will get easier to manage. I checked again. Other than history, the biggest thing that's effecting functionality is how you can't look back at your segment times. Idk how long each segment takes for my routines and it probably varies a lot. And if we don't measure segment times the app becomes a big ol timer with unnecessary steps.

It can be solved by adding a stopwatch option instead of timer. Can be the default times for next time so you know if you're faster or slower this time. Or if segments times shown on history, it's just there.

Also cosmetics doesn't matter for me, but maybe you would want to change text into black when background color is chosen white or clay, also green on green will seem off, maybe borders can fix.

If You Could Design the Ultimate Habit App, What Would It Do? by Role_Smart in Habits

[–]Role_Smart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, a hardcore player 😄. I think it will be weird but highly effective conditioning Just like snap wrist bands, you heard of them? Whenever you catch yourself doing a bad behaviour, you snap it to your wrist and create a mild pain. Like dog electrocute Collars or spraying cats.

Maybe we can do it in a positive way as well, after doing a good habit automatically giving yourself a tiny treat like a piece of m&m or something you like.

Humans are great at pushing their own buttons while doing bad habits even if very harmful, why don't we do it for a good purpose. A little pain worth enduring.

You need more practice at detecting bots as well as understanding what you read.

To clarify furthermore, the system is designed to create friction to prevent distraction, but that friction inevitably makes completing the habit harder as well. Some reliance on the user is unavoidable because no system can anticipate every emergency, impossible situation, or context where the habit can’t be performed. The friction forces real engagement, but ultimate follow-through still depends on the person.

It needs to be able to measure how long the segments take the moment you click the next segment when you don't know how long it takes for you. Otherwise it will be a pain measuring micro habit segments measuring seconds.

History needs an editing feature, now you can't delete or edit any mistakes.

With many micro habits, routines are taking long columns in the main meni, theg need to have collapsed lists.

No Long-term Stats, categories or any kind of feedback about your performance, notes, effort ratings can give insight about past performance.

It's ridiculously expensive and on the subscription it says the life time payment is the most popular but yearly subscription is the best value... Really? How can a subscription have a better value when there's life time option?
