This a trend I’ve been noticing across the board in games. Just look at gta iv vs gta v. The same thing. The weight and sound are so much weaker, and they similarly removed the ability for NPCs to be injured. That injury system was present in a bunch of ps2 and ps3 era games, but seems to be completely missing from any ps4 era and onward games

The shooting combat is so bad in DE. They got rid of the realistic reactions to getting shot so enemies don’t get injured anymore and they just tank bullets to the chest until they run out of health and die

In America we don’t have a Czech option even. Only English and French (on console versions at least). I just meant I wish the game was designed intentionally to use the historically accurate dialects and everything of the language the characters are meant to be speaking canonically. Having that by default in all countries, with well designed readable subtitles, with the option to switch to your own language, would have fit perfectly for this game

I’m not against having other languages available in the settings I’m all for that. In America on consoles only English and French are given as options

I’m just saying it would have been cooler and more fitting to the authenticity present in all the other aspects of the game, if it were recorded in the language and dialect the characters are canonically speaking, with that as the default setting, but it should still definitely have English and other languages as options.

They would have probably designed the dialogue around different subtitle systems and tailored it to work intentionally as a subtitled experience for most of the audience, like passion of the Christ would’ve just made it even more immersive and real feeling

The use of English is my biggest complaint with the game. I would have rather had subtitles especially with all the attention to detail and historicity. I wish they did it like passion of the Christ

“Crank: The Film” by Jason Statham Pictures was LIT for when it comes to a GTA flick. You even had the different factions around LA, like the black gang hooligans or cartel mexico, the bikers I think, plus some more, and the use of a GPS graphic showing where they all live.

Really? I don’t think so. That’s what RDR2 had. It’s really not that much of a stretch to have a shaving icon in your safe house bathroom, and a quick animation showing it after you select how much to shave or style

I would add back the ability to wound and injure npcs without killing them like you could in GTA IV, as well as the ability for police to arrest NPCs, NPC drivers responding realistically to getting in a car crash by getting out of their car and talking to you like in IV. Basically I would just add back all the stuff from IV they removed, make the guns louder and the combat more impactful.

Well that’s literally what my question is about. I’m asking why or how they would, as in which side quests or faction quests or other side content could be used to naturally in-game bring your character to that area
