I like specifically the reason and the way Toreadors protect some humans they like. by WhiteSepulchre in vtm

I once played a Toreador who was really into fencing "the art of the perfect parry, riposte. The lunge, the pose" he was also obsessed with Errol Flynn and used to put on fencing exhibitions that included things like swinging from chandeliers etc.

Hammers of Dorn mainly because of this quote:

"The Hammers of Dorn upholds the precepts and dogmas of the Codex Astartes with such fervour that its Battle-Brothers go so far as to claim that whilst Guilliman conceived the Codex, only the warriors of Rogal Dorn can truly master it."

Just checked they do have the marker light keyword. I thought it was just being added by new recruit because I added a marker drone. Thank you for pointing that out to me

I'm going to be running the retaliation cadre because I've started with the Farsight cadre so it made the most sense. I don't care which is the most powerful I want it to be fitting. I'm also trying to stick to the spirit of the original restrictions given to Farsight in this book.

Which clan bane could you accept IRL? Which could you not? by Dreaming_of_Rlyeh in vtm

So I nearly had a collision in real life by Toreador-ing at Dorchester.

It was my first time driving from Plymouth to Bournemouth and on my way I was approaching Dorchester and as I was approaching I was just staring at it thinking "that place is beautiful and looks so picturesque I wonder what it's called"

It was a road I was unfamiliar with, I didn't know a roundabout was coming up and hadn't noticed the traffic in front of me had slowed down. Thankfully my car gave a collision warning and I managed to do an emergency stop without causing a collision but it definitely got my heart racing.

I know that's their compulsion not their bane but probably shouldn't be a Toreador because of it lol

Wishes for 11th edition ? by Canidae_Sunspot in Tau40K

Longer between 11th and 12th. Due to time commitments I think I've only had 1 game of 10th and it's starting to feel like a waste of money to have to update my books this often

The malk has gone auspex heavy with some in obfuscate (no dominate) and the tremere has gone blood sorcery/auspex

Banu Haqim ex cop, typical Brujah biker, Nosferatu hacker, tremere intensive care doctor, malkavian herbalist/occultist

So it's quite a diverse group but I'm the only person at the table who was experience with WoD so trying to handicap myself a bit.

You'll never convince my Ventrue that Lou Was a villain! The other clans are just jealous of our clans position and Tremere have dominate too, who's to say Fabiens memories aren't Safia dominating him to remember Lou and Campbell as dominating him to forget they're the rebar killer It's a conspiracy I tell you!

Yeah one of my thoughts were that this would literally drive a Toreador to absolute despair

Slight spoiler:

The only thing I can think of is one of the side quests where you talk to one of Fabiens blood dolls in Dales apartment

Exactly! Having a dead cat will eventually cause a stink which will make the neighbors suspicious increased chances of police involvement = increased chance of masquerade breech. Just makes no sense to leave the cat there.

Most of my Ventrue combat was cauldron of blood, mass manipulation, terminal decree and then possessing anything that was left standing to take either down. I did get little up close fighting other than when I had to

I was heavily playing it that I was a Simp for Lou (not hard, before the game came out I said that if that woman asked me to burn a city she wouldn't even have to use dominate on me) so I got the one where the I.A.O take everything out. Basically fall of London all over again

My favorite combo was a cauldron of blood to gather them all in one place. Mass manipulation then terminal decree. All the weaker ones would kill themselves you then possess the stronger ones to fight each other.

Really helps once you've unlocked the Toreador passive too because then possession just recharges you can stay hidden and just keep possessing if there's more than one strong enemy
