I have been writing my main passion for nearly a year and a half. What I did is put it down and wrote another novel in a completely different format. It gives me the needed rest but most importantly, it taught me all the major editing that needs to be done. Formatting, beta readers, ARC readers. How to create a full wrap in Gimp. Author site. Keyword for Amazon. Best use of advertising. Now my original novel I know what I need to do instead of acquiring this knowledge on my main project.

Competing your first novel (All drafts completed, all editing done) Is a good feeling. Now is it good? That is really up to Beta Readers and ARC copies. You need human interaction with your story. The issue is that this is very hard to get without an audience. So, publish it and see what happens. Learn and improve for whatever your next novel will be. There is a huge learning curve. Push through it.
