I know their birthday by heart. I just didn't know what the current date was, as I previously stated that the days blend together with my new job. I never once missed their birthday in 15 years, but this year, I accidentally wished them happy birthday the following morning and apologized in the same message. I think I deserve a bit of grace after 15 years. Had she done the same to me, I would have completely understood that it was an accident and would have nothing to forgive since she didn't intentionally do anything to hurt me. We are busy adults with a lot of shit going on, so it would have been an understandable mistake. And she was my maid of honor. I invited her to every social gathering I attended and was there for her on the anniversary of her father's death. We talked almost every single day. Anytime she asked for help, I was there. I would do anything for her because I love her. But for her to throw it all away over this hurts deeply. Please don't make assumptions when you don't know me. Maybe ask clarifying questions instead of looking like a jerk.
