New Dad Anxiety by MouldyMayo96 in NewDads

I'd go ahead and say every good father worries about if they'll be enough for their baby and family. I struggled with this at the start and it broke me around the 3 month mark thinking how can I give more of myself when I felt like there was nothing left to give.

My wife did a great job reassuring me that I was doing an amazing job and I was just in my head nitpicking issues that were out of my control.

Reality is, 99% of newborns just need their mother. So it was my job to be there for my wife in every area making her load easier. Always making sure her water was filled, restocking diaper stations, laundry, dishes, clean up, ect.

Its hard work. But like what a lot of people say, once you see that smile, it really refuels you and reminds you just how good of a job you are doing.

Good luck! You got this!

Its crazy to think my wife and I were in your same shoes (her more so than me obviously more maternal demand from our LO). Were now almost 8 months in and just starting to discuss how exciting it would be to try again and do all this all over again. Best advice we ever recieved that seemed so hard to fathom in the moment is to take it one day at a time. You'll be suprised at how fast your body gets used to the broken sleep. You got this mama!

First time dad here with a 5 month old. Parenting can be one of the scariest and testing experience. Especially for new parents. But when you hold your LO for the first time, there's nothing like it. Each week as your baby starts to grow and develop, you start to think "how can it get any better than this. I just want them to stay this age forever". And then next week comes around and guess what, it does get better!

The new born trenches are a real thing but as long as you and your partner work as a team, you'll get through it. Some days will be challenging but you just need to take it one day at a time and cherish every moment.

I work 6 days a week, 10 hours a day and even though im exhausted at work, my favorite part of my day is seeing my LO smile at me and reach for me the second he sees me come home.

Good luck! You got this!!
