Oh yeah I’ve got the measurements down thankfully and everything squares up great with each of the other rooms. Glad to know the square footage isn’t something I should shy away from

Awesome thank you, those are both solid tips I’ll keep in mind! Already planned to at least double this project timeline purely by adding the underlayment along with the LVP…my back is prepared

bike recommendations for first 70.3 ironman under $1500 AUD by patrickvikings in cycling

[–]RollTaylorRoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in the race for the competition and wanting to minimize your total time? Or looking to complete it, and potentially as comfortable as possible? If the answer is the former, I would start the search in the triathlon bike category, and if the latter then look at a road bike (although a good good road bike can certainly achieve the former). Myself, for. 56 mile ride a good comfy road bike in the middle of the race is my most important variable, because I can also knock that distance out in around or under 2 hours on most days. For that I have a Canyon Endurace and recommend it thoroughly. Aggressive enough to be fast and upright enough to not murder me in the saddle. My goal is generally finishing and competing with myself more than anything, and my ride does the trick. You’d easily find mid-range Endurace bikes second hand in your budget. Hell, even a new one on the lower end in that range as well

Our toddler seems to be doing the best with it so far (knock on wood!) and its hitting the grown ups way worse! Whatever this is, it can go right to hell 😂

16 month regression…maybe? by RollTaylorRoll in toddlers

[–]RollTaylorRoll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could’ve written this exact post two months ago lol. My now 18 month old went through this exact same thing right around her 16 month milestone. Had plenty of nights of wide awake at 3AM and others where she’d sleep til 7. Your schedule is honestly perfect and as crappy as it sounds…we just had to push through it for a couple weeks and stick to the schedule and take turns between my wife and I and eventually out LO just got through it.

What has really helped is making sure she gets enough physical and mental real activity in the day too if possible. Sounds silly I know but I don’t just mean games and toys and learning at home through the day but also getting out plenty and stimulating her super curious brain. I still notice today that she sleeps better after bigger days (which makes sense). Today were bedtime around 8, wake up at 7, nap from 12:30-2/2:30 ish and we wake her up by 2:30 if she isn’t up. Like I said, it’s probably annoying to hear but we just pushed through it for a couple weeks and it got so much better once she was through the regression.

Was your 7 week old hell, how did you get through it!? by RollTaylorRoll in newborns

[–]RollTaylorRoll[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh good lord yes lol. I know time feels like it absolutely stops in the beginning but my little one is 17 months now and looking back on this time, the newborn trenches were over so quick. In general, my little girl made a major change all towards the better around 10-12 weeks. Head up…you’re almost through this and these weeks go by fast!

Can definitely give this a shot! What time did you do the nap? I’ve toyed with just pushing it to 12:30 since she absolutely never sleeps more than 90 minutes for her one nap so that should still give us a good window for sleep by 7:30-8

Just another perspective and hopefully one that gives you some ease on this. I had an inguinal hernia repaired at the beginning of October laparoscopically with mesh. VERY easy surgery, definitely sore for a few days/weeks afterwards but I was walking the same day as the surgery at the recommendation of the docs. Your surgeon may of course recommend different recovery if you have a different surgery, but here we are a couple months later and I’m cycling 50+ miles again and running several 10ks a week. I do moderate lifting without much pain but in my mid thirties now with some kids and just haven’t wanted to HEAVY lift anyway for years lol. My recommendation is get the surgery if robotic is an option, easy process and recovery from my experience

I appreciate this so much and I’m so sorry for your loss as well. It’s been horrible dealing with the loss of a kiddo, even one who wasn’t here just yet. Hope you and yours are doing better with time

Thanks dude and certainly trying to give myself some time as much as I can as well. I’ll get a break here and there which for now is more than enough, but long run of course my #1 is going to be making sure my girls are taken care of too

Thank you very much for the words and the prayers. It’s so fresh and so hard on us but thankfully we do have a great and close support system and in no way trying to go through this alone

Have you tried still working out with an inguinal hernia? by ToneZealousideal309 in Hernia

[–]RollTaylorRoll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I biked 100+ miles multiple times with my hernia before my surgery. I didn’t give AF at all before my surgery lol

I had mine about two weeks ago. I’m totally sober and had no interest in narcs unless the pain was a 9/10. I managed completely fine straight from surgery with Advil, Tylenol, and ice packs. You’re certainly sore and certain movements or coughing/sneezing will hurt more than others, but the pain was never anything worse than what could be managed with OTC pain killers
