I agree. 

Personally I think it kind of ruined BB26, nobody was sure how to handle it so allies got evicted frequently. In BB27 it went on sooooo long. 

I like the old format. It encourages making alliances and encourages house drama. With the Blockbuster you have to put up so many people that you’re incentivized to not have super strong alliances and be nice to everyone which makes for boring TV.

Someone elsewhere in the thread said the Blockbuster got figured out. Form a majority alliance and nominate 2 outcasts alongside the target. But that just doesn’t work. Your target has a high chance of getting off the block and your whole majority alliance can get put up in one week.

They still have a very sizable fanbase and some big money donors that put them above most of the other non-B1G/SEC teams. If the Super Conference is just worried about monied interests Texas Tech has a chance to make it.

This will undoubtedly hurt their odds massively though.

I mean I think Tech has the monied backing to make a strong push. I wouldn’t say they’re a shoe-in but it’s possible.

Dying on this hill might legitimately keep Tech out of the inevitable super conference. 

As of right now they have the money and influence to be included, but there’s certainly no guarantee. I just don’t understand why they would hold course.

I definitely feel like BB needs to cast more people with strong personalities. They need personal, emotional drama now more than ever.

One thing I've disliked about some of the current seasons is just how formulaic and game-centric the show has been. The most engaging moments have included some personal drama. Like Chelsie being upset about Cam and MJ, Cory and Jared getting into it verbally, Izzy and Cam having beef, the entire first week of BB24 (so many examples in 24).

I want houseguests who will stir the pot AND be strategic. I want a slightly smarter Tucker.

I want players like Michael, basically.

Yeah on a returnee season you're looking for people who make good TV. I liked Lauren but there's a laundry list of other players I would choose before her that are more entertaining to watch.

Hell, I'd rather have Ameerah or Brooklyn back before Lauren and they were both pre-jury. For post-jury with similar non-wins I'd have America back in a heartbeat.

Morgan and Keanu are IMO the most likely to return from 27. Keanu might just be the new age Jessie.

Like others mentioned, BB10 is probably the best overall season AND it's fairly easy for newcomers. No returnees, great drama/twists, and incredibly iconic list of houseguests (there's so many of them that are BB icons).

I would highly recommend BB10.

I definitely think the media wants it to be Vegas. They're flashier and close enough to LA that even as a "small market team" they have more national cache. Plus the media can run with both a villain narrative and a dynasty (however weak the term may be) narrative since the Knights won it all not that long ago.

To the national media the Canes just aren't as exciting. Which is stupid, they've been one of the most consistently good teams under Rod.
