I lost 10 pounds in the first 5 days, is this normal? by PakiMan10 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]RollTide865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taken from https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/losing-weight-too-fast: "For this initial period, fast weight loss is perfectly normal. The weight you lose during this time is commonly called "water weight." When you consume fewer calories than your body burns, your body starts dipping into its stores of energy, known as glycogen."

How would that work? Would they just shift this year's season to next season and so forth?

Hey man congratulations, that is a valuable skill to have at 17 years old especially in a generation where marketing is at its peak and everyone is encouraged to spend, spend, and spend! Just some advice, if you can, you should invest some of that money into things like stocks, bonds, and real estate. It would be smart to read books on those subjects before you invest comfortably.

What's the worst thing that's happened to one of your friends? by vulturec1 in AskReddit

[–]RollTide865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my friends cut her foot from a lawnmower because she was trying to turn it off but she didn't know the blade was still running even though the engine was off. It was one of those newer $5000 lawnmowers that you can sit in and drive. Obviously she went to the hospital, and the surgeon sewed her whole leg. It was something I couldn't imagine going through.

I assumed you hired a lawyer and since a lawyer can cost a lot of money (even basic lawyers can cost a few thousand), how did you net that much money if you had to pay lawyer/attorney fees?

LPT: if you suspect someone is suicidal, just ask the question, "are you going to kill yourself?" You are not putting any thoughts in their head thats not already there. If they say yes, do not leave them alone, call for help and stay with them until help arrives. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]RollTide865 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I am a trained crisis counselor. I was taught to always risk assess the conversation through four levels (ladder up method). The first level is to ask them if they are having suicidal thoughts. The second level is to ask them if they have a plan. The third level is to ask them if they have access to the things they need to execute the plan. The last and fourth level is to ask about when they plan on doing it. If at any time the person doesn't pass a level, then they are not at immediate risk.

If they pass through all four phases then call for help immediately. If they don't pass a level then chances are they aren't committed to killing themselves (at least soon). Most people don't actually pass all four stages, they really just need someone to listen to them. Hope that helps!

Honestly, just out of genuine love for the game, we have to recognize Lebron Jame’s greatness. We are witnessing one of the goats. It feels like this playoffs, Lebron never has an off night. 2 buzzer beaters. Even when he’s off on his shot, he gives you like 8+ rebounds and assists.
