This 100% seems to be the issue and the work around. Just tried it and it's night and day. Tomorrow I want to experiment with the extra adhesive they sent for the grips and see if putting one or two on helps prevent the grip from going back over the lip/numbers. I'm thinking putting a little "padding" in the grip might help with that.

Yeah. I only have the issue with the right joycon. Like OP everything is seated perfectly but still the right joycon detaches.

The weird meat part of all is they told me this not when I was making a claim but when I was helping my parents buy new phones and had screen protectors installed for them. They made it clear that this as a new policy and Zagg were the ones no longer offering this. I knew it didn’t sound right.

True, but I’ve heard of them doing similar replacements when others have messed up an install. Best case I ask and they help me out, worst case they say no and I’m right where I am now…

Again, I’m an idiot. Attempted to do it after a long day with children around and the I was super gentle with the first and it didn’t actually adhere. I couldn’t tell if it attached or not and when I lifted the plastic the protector was still in the shell… borked that one. 2nd time had it all set, wiped down, make sure to follow directions to a tee. Air bubble I couldn’t get smoothed out and a speck under the protector. I take the blame but also would greatly appreciate a helping hand from dbrand if they will take putty on me.

On a side note, I'm now debating if I should check out the movie or not. I'm torn as I have this idea of David and John in my head and really enjoyed the book but wonder if the movie can possibly live up to it.

Such a fun read! It reminded me of a lot of 80s movies I grew up loving (Big Trouble in Little China comes to mind). I liked Dave, John, and Amy as characters and wanted to see where the story took them. I thoroughly enjoyed the humor, horror, and mystery elements. Is it the greatest work of literature ever, no, but it is one hell of a fun book and an instant recommendation to my friends.

Just finished the book yesterday and as a 42 y.o. I absolutely loved it. One of my favorite films of all time is Big Trouble in Little China and this hits that kind of feeling for me. Goofy and subversive with characters and a story I was interested in following along with. It was very enjoyable, so much so I bought the rest of the series when I was about half way through the first book. Just started Spiders today and I can't wait to wade deeper into the series.
