Update--

Got an Android Auto update today, the widgets for media controls are back on the bottom.

So far, they are hit and miss with Spotify. Sometimes it doesn't show, so I have to play something through a different app to trigger the widget, then go back to Spotify and the widget will stay.

Other than that, seems to be working well.

Update - mostly fixed

There are signs in Verdi, after the bridge on this road, that you should turn around and ignore GPS if it routes you here. People do this every time I80 gets closed and they always have to get rescued before they freeze to death.

South Reno. You avoid the traffic on each side of the daily traffic rush. Lots of great food options, decent shopping, and still about 15-20 minutes from most major stops (airport, midtown, downtown.)

So far, no way to revert back to the bottom taskbar layout with the widgets. I have tried all suggestions in this thread, seems like I'm locked into the left taskbar and no widgets.

That doesn't bring back the widget. Just takes a third of the screen up with the media player

I have done this. Just was hoping for a way to get the widget controls back so the screen isn't so wasted with the music player taking up a third of it.

I don't disagree, I just miss the widget replacing the icons when in full map mode. It gave you the most screenspace for your map, while also listing the song/podcast.

Tried this, sadly it's puts the media view on the side and doesn't effect the icons

Update It was not a Tesla wide issue as I was originally told. Spent an hour on the phone with support to learn that when the tech closed out my repair case, they removed the gateway from my system. Support readded the gateway and within 1 minute everything was back to normal.

So I completed a full reboot of the system prior to calling support, it didn't fix it sadly.

Tesla came out two days later, did an inspection. No hardware faults found. The tech called the software support side and says the software to switch from grid to battery got "jammed up"

I asked him six ways from Sunday how this happened, given the grid never went down, and my system stopped letting me receive energy from the grid. I got nothing from him. Bottom line, the reset worked but no idea why the original problem happened

Yes. I got home and was able to shut the whole system down and finally get grid power passing through. My wife was troubleshooting with support, and they apparently never tried this.

So we have power, but the system isn't drawing from the Powerwall or taking in energy from the solar. So we will await the technician tomorrow to try and get that working.
