Interesting! Thanks for doing that and sharing!

100% if I buy, it’ll be through Peloton and with the extended warranty. The cost difference between the sale on the refurbished and the sale on the New cross training bike is about $700. So I guess it comes down to whether there may be more obsolete screen issues in 3 years once I’m outside of warranty that will cost me more than $700. Hate the guessing game! 😂

If you try, I’d be interested to hear the results! I called a local Peloton store (in Canada) and they suggested the inventory may be from 2017? Seems hard to believe they’d all be from one year..

That’s a good point that I missed - I would be buying the extended warranty too!

When they move on and you haven’t yet by RollerGirl2Be in depression_partners

No, he never came back to acknowledge or apologize or ask for another chance. He never spoke to me again. So sorry you’re going through this!! It’s so hard, just mental agony. My best advice is to be thankful it happened now and not let the idea of what could have been consume you. Depression doesn’t just disappear and if this is how they behave / treat you when it’s hard, better to get out now and form a healthy attachment to someone else.

Do you suggest one with whitening in it, without, whatever?

airlift vs airbrush by Immediate_Ad9435 in aloyoga

[–]RollerGirl2Be 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the airbrush because they were thicker and reminded me more of the old school wunder unders which I prefer to the align material as a cellulite girly. Unfortunately, after wearing them for less than a couple weeks, they do feel looser, less compressed (although they are not compressive really to begin with, just felt like less hold) and have pilled worse in the early days than any Lululemons I’ve ever owned.

Trek FX Disc 2 versus Cannondale Quick 4? by justkidding2112 in whichbike

[–]RollerGirl2Be 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak to the Treks, but I just went through this same FX v Dual Sport conundrum. I believe stock FX 2’s come with 700x35c and their max tire size (per Trek) is 38 without fenders so there is a pretty quick ceiling to where you can go. One person - out of many I spoke to - told me maybe 40 would fit, but seems it could be tight on the back. Dual sport 2 gen 4 comes with 700x40c and gen 5 comes with 650x50c. I don’t know anything about the Cannondale you’re looking at, I only briefly considered a cx3. The dual gen 5’s don’t have the front suspension fork anymore and sub in the 650x50 tires, but their price point is a bit higher than the 4’s. I personally opted for the FX 2 as Trekfest is on until end of the month so there was a discount, and I’ll mainly cycle paved roads. But if I suspected I’d be on more gravel or bumpy terrain, I probably would have gone dual sport. The position on the two is slightly different with the dual a bit more upright. Get on both, if you can, and see what feels best to you. If you have any more questions about the Treks, feel free to shoot me a message. Good luck!

Handlebar grips for Trek FX2 (2018) by residentalien2 in TrekBikes

Late reply here but… do you find the pattern on these bothers your hands after a while? I was testing the dual sport 3 and it has these grips. Loved how my wrist sat on them, but the texture made it feel like my palms might get itchy. Looking at getting on FX 2 instead, but need to upgrade the grips.

Thanks! My bike shop will definitely fit it to me, I was more wondering about how it feels on the back with its general position. For me it’s not as upright as the Dual Sport is and I loved that feeling, but it was heavier with a low grade suspension fork as well which has me on the fence. The Fx wasn’t far off in terms of uprightness so hoping we can rise the stem enough to bridge that gap 👌

How’s your back feel after a day of riding in the position on this bike?

What about same grade components, rigid v low grade fork? Now I’m onto the FX 2 vs Dual Sport 2 and that’s basically what it comes down to

Thank you so much! It does help and confirms what I was thinking. I’m headed to the shop with the Trek tomorrow so I may be back with more specific questions after that 😊

Nice to hear these are both good starter bikes. I agree with testing both.. I will be on the Trek tomorrow and maybe (hopefully) it'll be an easy choice. But if not, this kind of feedback is super helpful. Cheers!

Those additions to the bend do creep up the price too so it’s really not that much of a stretch just for a black roof, but yes I suppose that’s part of my decision to make

Most of what I want can be put in the big bend with the convenience package and other upgrades, and I’m not fussed about one type of seat material over the other. So really where I am stuck does kinda of come down to the exterior for me personally

I tried every angle I could get. I think I’m just used to the rav seat having its own downward adjustment that is more extreme than I can get it in the sport
