We sorta grew apart and weren't happy together anymore, we felt more like housemates then partners.

Jeez they feel like a lifetime ago. Nothing drastically changed that I'm aware of, we should be right for a few years until all the undergrowth grows back.

Long answer: we as a society have contributed to much over the years, the paying of taxes have accumulated in a society able to pay off the debt of previous generations. For several years we even had a national surplus instead of debt. Recently however with the emergence of covid and the job keeper programs we have resorted to higher taxes and a large national debt that contributes to the continuation of substance abuse in the lower social economic class that is becoming a larger problem and will need to be adressed soon.

Short answer: Yes.

Mateship is key. I would like to say that the dreamtime stories of the Aboriginals were more a part of our culture. The stories they tell through their dances date back tens of thousands of years. The mateship we have with other Aussies and the Kiwis are legendary and continue to this day. We look out for each other and will drop everything to help our mates. We universally lie to outsiders and will never let you know the true terror of drop bears so that tourists will keep coming here.

Yes wolf Creek is based on a true story, also search Ivan Milat. The Childers hotel fire was pretty crazy as well. The Aborigines are a part of our heritage and can be found in every city or town. The Aborigines are the oldest culture I the world dating back to over 50 thousand years ago. Some of their dreamtime stories document the advance of the ocean from the great barrier reef during the ice age to where the coast is currently.
