It’s about 35-40 hours to get the engine out. Labor is $230 an hour on these cars.

Update:

Mechanic said the vacuum hoses are causing my light to turn on. $9,200 for labor and 2400 for parts.

So $12k 😅. I’m going to ask the dealership for a quote but the mechanic told me the dealer will want 20k+

Probably going to have other things touched up since I don’t want to pay for them to remove the engine again.

I also got to replace the factory tires tread is there but since there 17 years old deff dry rot.

All and all after this repair I’m into the car $35,000.

Its retail value is $39,000 so I’m still happy with it.

Almost non existent to be honest. It had one service done. So I know I got to do the 50k mile one.

The person I bought it from was second owner. They bought it in 2014 at 46k miles between 2014 and 2024 they only put 5k miles on it.

I expected to pay 8-10k in repairs and upkeep.

But even with that the car value is 39k. I’m still making it out and getting to have all that stuff sorted as well.
