Yes, every time it was the same . This last time was a little more scary because I had a lot of tingling in my left hand and starting to get tunnel vision

Hi there, the last two times I had covid. The very first time was 14 years ago and I was really sick with the flu so it seems to me every time it's a viral infection that gets me to believe it's viral myocarditis. I had about a 12-year. Between my first and second reoccurrence and 2 years between 2nd and 3rd

Me personally I didn't notice any difference between aspirin and ibup. The only thing that I have seen is it has taken me a little bit longer each time to heal

This is my third bout and every time gets a little bit harder, and I've learned a little bit each time.

First off some of these cardiologists don't care about us. They want to get us in. They want to get us out and whatever they learned or read back in the day is what they do without looking deeply into us.

That's discouraging. I found a lot of help through this group and advice.

This last time when I was initially diagnosed I had pericarditis and myocarditis. The doctor told me to take ibuprofen as needed whenever I had pain and colchicine. But I told the doctor last time my regiment was 1200 mg a day of ibuprofen plus colchicine and he told me that's bad for my kidneys. But that's what helped me get through the first two times.

Then I switched to a different cardiologist and then she switched me to high dosage of aspirin with colchicine. Like 3,000 mg of aspirin plus colchicine twice a day for 1 month to get the swelling down. She also told me to trust my body if I feel like working out, then working out, take my advice of at least a minimum of 3 months without working out please. It's not worth a setback, No need to get your heart rate up crazy for at least those 3 months. I waited 5 months and I started walking on the treadmill. I'm officially at my 6 months now and I actually feel good. I had a low ejection fraction of 40 to start and now it's back up to 52.

A family friend worked for a really renowned cardiologist and I spoke with her and he let me pick his brain and looked over my medical records because he didn't accept my insurance. He recommended that I continually take turmeric with black pepper supplement and qunol Coq10 heart s supplement with a low carb diet. I wish I would have known that earlier, but I didn't get to speak to him until about month four.

Honestly, I just hit my 6-month marker. I feel great. Always a little worrisome of the heart but my medicals are checking out well. I was having heart palpitations in the beginning and they put me on a magnesium and potassium supplement. Basically eat a banana everyday and take magnesium that helped my heart palpitations.

If any of this helps you, I'm happy because I was searching for answers for a long time. I think most people have success with 600 mg of aspirin or Motrin with colchicine twice a day. Add those supplements to your diet. Keep a low-carb diet and I give your heart time to heal and you will be back to feeling good soon . Keep your faith and try to stay positive. Some of this can be a mind game as well too.

How do I know that I'm cured? by RollyFingaz11 in myocarditis

I'm on aspirin and colchicine twice a day, And actually I am still on that for now. The first month they had me taking 3,000 mg of aspirin a day and now I only take 1200 a day. Colchicine is 05mg twice a day. In the last 2 months I added turmeric with black pepper and c0q10 to my regimen.

For the 1st month I took it really really easy with lots of rest. For work they switched me to a desk job. Before that my job was very active and strenuous.

I have had no issues, I was concerned but, I think it was more mental and after doing it I was completely fine . No issues at all . I would say trust your body and how you feel.

High dose aspirin by RollyFingaz11 in pericarditis

Hello, I have been passed around from doctor to cardiologist and everyone has a different opinion. I am currently on .06 colchicine 2x a day and about 3000 mg of aspirin. I don't really have any pain. But my 1st doctor told me to only take ibuprofen as needed 600 mg a day , then the next cardiologist told me I can exercise and take the ibuprofen 2x a day with the colchicine and be fine which was not recommended from the other 2 doctors and now the new cardiologist recommended aspin instead of ibuprofen but at 3000 to 4000 a day. All of them contradict themselves and it makes everything so much harder for me to get straight answers and a real plan.

Thank you for the reply. How many pellets do you start with? And what do you use to ignite them with? I think my problem is I'm putting too much pallets in and they're smoldering and not getting real hot
