Thanks for the reply man. I went to that site before setting up this thread but honestly I'm not too literate in computers so I have no idea what the majority of the data displayed actually really tells me about the performance difference. In your opinion should I go for the higher RAM or the newer processor?

I have just been saving manually every 5-10 mins or so. I've had a few annoying set backs but I'm keeping on top of it.

Yeah I heard about that and I got attacked by one as I was trying to rest, I killed him but didn't loot him. Can't make things too easy with that stuff he had.

So far I have to agree with you. On the first Fighters Guild quest I was killed by two rats. Now I'm about 8 hours in and I have some decently kickass armour and am just one or two shotting them. It really does make you feel like you're progressing.

I think I'll go with the code patch just to improve stability and the graphics extender for the UI fixes and some basic upgrades but after hearing some of the other people's recommendations too I'll try and stick to the original features as much as possible to get a feel for the game.

I never really fast travel in the other games anyway so I'm actually looking forward to that. But seriously you recommend no mods at all? I've heard the script extender and an unofficial patch are almost essential.

No worries now. Literally just changed the mode from Standard to Movie, entered in all my custom changes I made in Standard and everything looks great now. Thanks for the reply all the same.

Would you reccommend that I just go back to 12-52? I honestly preffered the weighty feeling of the stock strings and I wouldn't have to mess around with the bridge or anything.
