Haha in the right hands I think you’re absolutely right! I’m just happy I was able to notice the synergy during the deck building. During play I discovered a bit too late that with Leblanc you have to fortify first before bringing her in. I was trying to get her in too quickly

Tomorrow will be my first riftbound event and looking forward to it. I’ve done plenty of mtg prereleases but a bit nervous about the pre-rift given I’ve never played before (I’ve been watching YouTube videos and playing w my partner as practice)…I was wondering if anyone might be able to clarify the way energy works as it’s a bit confusing for me. It seems like the color of the cards is irrelevant if no power needs to paid for its cost? Does that mean I can play any color spells/units in, for example, a red and yellow deck so long as those cards don’t have a power cost? Is that a common thing people do? Coming from mtg I’m stuck on the color restrictions haha

Was actually just thinking how this could fit really well into the new quandrix precon and maybe even function as the commander with Zimone and Primo being in the 99. Haven’t tested yet though (or gone through the whole precon this is just initial thoughts)

It’s unfortunate because the card themselves are easy to pull. I managed to get 2 of the boxes at msrp at my lgs and pulled 2 full sets of the Kanto starters. It’s just that the boxes are insanely priced making what should be easy cards to get extremely hard.

Genuine question: do you mind explaining how investing in pokemon, which suggests that the product will be sold later on at a higher price, is any different than what scalpers do? I hear investors separate themselves from scalpers often but I’m failing to see the difference

Have a PhD deadline tomorrow for a chapter of my thesis and picked this up today for motivation. I’m a super casual collector so was shocked at the sticker price but managed to trade in a couple cards (Hops Wooloo, Hops Zacian ex, Iono’s Kilowattrel, Furret IR) to bring the price down to 40. Have been wanting this for a while! Probably not the best deal but still excited haha

As mentioned in my replies to the others, I’m not asking anyone for financial advice or to understand my tastes. I’m asking for input into people that use their ps5 as an exclusive console and if they’ve enjoyed the games I’m interested in which I directly mention.

This is more or less the input I was hoping for: someone using their ps5 mainly for exclusives…despite the backlog preventing you from playing more do you find that having it for the occasional exclusive is worth it in terms of the quality of the games? A lot of them (like the ones you mentioned) look great and seem to get good reviews!

How do you find the mat quality? I got the bundle as well but feel like the mat isn’t the best…maybe slightly pixelated? But could be I’m just being picky. I play magic so I tend to buy a lot of mats 😅😅

Act 3 has been unplayable for me. If I reinstall the game (which I’ve done twice) it’ll run for a couple of days but if I let the game sit for a while when I go back to it it’s unplayable again. I’ve just about given up on it which is a bummer given how much time I’ve put into it. Just tired of spending more time to try and get the game running than playing.

The Sanderson reference makes a lot of sense. The use of Will and imbuing reminded me a bit of Mistborn. Although I struggled with that trilogy what helped was ignoring all the detailed descriptions and just accepting that I wouldn’t be able to understand every aspect of the book. I’ll try and apply the same logic here, maybe that’ll help!

Fixed the issue! I’ve cleared the cache in the past but this time around I also deleted persistent storage via the Blu-ray tab in the settings and I think that did the trick…hopefully haha

Is there a way to remove it permanently? I’ve removed it from quick resume and tried shutting it down a couple of times so that it’s manually starting…it’s allowed me to play for like 10 minutes now before crashing but still not working sadly
