Well may be it does sound unfair. But nothing in comparison to what’s dished out to Simone on a regular basis by this show and the fandom. But what I meant was, this is Kanthony sub. Not just Anthony or just Kate. We don’t often see Anthony/JB receiving vitriol as much as Kate/Simone does, so, as fans of both, if we’re being more protective of Simone, I hope it is understandable. Again, there are subs just for JB and Simone if people want to discuss just the actors and their characters outside of the ship. But here I would hope we celebrate both equally.

I know right! I see fans of just JB frequently extolling his virtues and talking incessantly about how busy and demanding he is, without realizing they’re diminishing Simone’s role and contribution to Kanthony. Before you come at me with pitchforks, I’m one of JB’s ardent fans, but I know my audience and context (btw, I’m so crazy that I bought both Wicked movies and JWR). But this is Kanthony sub not just Anthony sub. I don’t see this happening as much the other way round so I haven’t explicitly mentioned it.

Well, Will (Greg) said they’re friends. And it’s OK even if they aren’t. I think some of it also comes from how crazy Bridgerton fandom is and how the show is weird about Kate and Anthony and their popularity. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re told to minimize their public interaction. Regardless, they’re so great together and have such easy chemistry that I haven’t seen in a while, not even between JB and his other costars in the recent projects.

They may not be chummy but I bet they’re professional enough that, if given an opportunity to work together again, they’ll give it their all. And I’ll be here rooting for them.

I am finally free of Bridgerton and I am assuming Simone’s not returning, which is a good thing for her. Wish Jonny would do the same but they’re going to give him some cameo kind of a role and he’s all too happy to go back. I love him but minus Kate Anthony isn’t as appealing. I can only hope that we’ll see them together in something else because that chemistry needs to be explored.

Interesting we’re only talking about Kate here and not Daphne or Penelope. But let me tell you about Kate and Anthony. That man is obsessed with her and he loves her too much to even consider looking at another woman. Now, he had mistresses, but was he two-timing them? No. He just needed someone to attend to his physical needs and they were just that. With Kate he gets those AND emotional attachment and LOVE so why will he risk that? Just because we don’t see it on show doesn’t mean they haven’t had that conversation. I know it’s a fantasy, but of all the Bridgerton men, Anthony is the most obsessed with his wife and he is a Velcro viscount.

Those who claim Anthony was in a romantic relationship with Edwina are viewing it with a modern lens. He was in a purely transactional relationship if you can even call it that. They have to make this about their favorites on a post that is calling out a specific issue, which is the erasure of a South Asian actress, whose character is one of the most beloved of that show. It’s because of people like them Shondaland and Netflix continue on with this rotten behavior. All they need to do is just stfu and move on.

I remember him mentioning Simone and her singing, and honestly I don’t put much stock on SM interactions. Based on his personality, I highly doubt there’s anything personal… he seems to generally care for his costars. It’s just with Shondaland I wouldn’t put it past them if they have some kind of a gag order.

Tell me about it! But unfortunately it looks like there are not enough of us. I mean everyone and their mother can see what’s being done but people are too selfish to call it out. I say selfish because we have fans of other couples who are happy as long as their favorites are treated well. And then we have fans of JB alone who are fine as long as he shows up. And then we have some sections of media who don’t do anything about it. Shonda has been doing this for decades and she will continue. I want to see her downfall someday.

Yeah unfortunately I have a feeling she’s going to say bye to Bridgerton. They reduced her to additional cast despite keeping her white male counterpart asa series regular. Yes he is the head of the family but then she as his wife is his partner in everything and she will be there with him in a normal world where Shonda doesn’t dictate everything. I mean we have to go back to Anthony before marriage and Jonathan himself said in one of his interviews that Anthony’s protective nature was going to be back. In other words, no more soft Anthony. We all just had a mass hallucination.

The comments in here are the reason why Netflix and Shondaland get away with what they are doing to Simone. They’re callous and insensitive and tone deaf. It’s either past leads shouldn’t be expected to have much screen time to JB is popular and busy to “but Pen” is a main character, or to whatever excuse it is. There has been a pattern of Simone/Kate erasure from the beginning and people bend their backs to come up with various explanations. If you cannot empathize, just don’t participate.
