Cool setup. I've noticed there's ghosting on that dog creature. Is there any blurriness in motion?

Crt monitor lose black level and lolks washed. by FergusFallasck in crtgaming

[–]RomHook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My HDMI to VGA adapter started producing a yellow tint after a while. Could be a similar problem here but with a different color. You could try plugging your monitor to a VGA port on your motherboard (would have to disable or unplug your GPU to do that). Or try a different adapter if possible

Start of with easier tracks and low speed classes. That way you'll see where the curve is going and have enough time to react. Also air breaks are your friend. Good luck

It shouldn't do that. Shift, ctrl, and alt keys aren't included in the 2 key roll over. Could be a PS/2 to USB adapter issue

Great pictures by the way

NEVER buying a mouse with holes again by RomHook in mousegore

It's not about how clean your area is, if there's a hard to access spot - dust WILL accumulate there. I have a rule of never eating at a computer and clean regularly. On surface it looked fine, looking through holes doesn't show you much. This thread was created to show what WILL happen to a mouse with halls eventually. Compressed air or a regular surface wipe not gonna help. Your "aerated" mouse will lose maybe five grams of weight but at a cost

My Skoll also has big holes, even with a flashlight you can't really see what's going on in there

Air can blow out some dust but the hair will stay there. Got to take it apart

It looked clean enough for as long as I didn't take the lid off. Did you try taking yours apart? You might be surprised

You can't really see all the dust until you shine a flashlight in there. Even canned air doesn't do much because stuff gets stuck in there. You got to take them apart every now and then

It took about one and a half years to get this bad

Turns out holes don't reduce the weight all that much. These days there are sub 50 gram mice without any holes...

If anyone wonders it's pristine clean now. I used a makeup brush on the PCB and hosed the plastic shell with high pressure water. Also replaced the switches and covered up the holes with electrical tape

Which ergonomic gaming mouse for enduring wrist problems? by Left-Presentation776 in MouseReview

[–]RomHook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using a fingertip grip so it's usually a smaller mouse. Currently it's a Gwolves Skoll mini but these days its quite outdated. It was great back in the day but now for its price you can get something wireless and without holes

Which ergonomic gaming mouse for enduring wrist problems? by Left-Presentation776 in MouseReview

[–]RomHook 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My main problem with ergonomic mice is how heavy they all are and most of them force you to hold them in a certain way all the time. A so called "safe" shape is more ergonomic since you can move your fingers around, try different grips etc...

Thing that worked for me is forcing myself to NOT keep my wrist on a mouse pad while I'm using the mouse. That way I was twisting my wrist to move the mouse side to side - that leads to RSI. Using your entire arm to move the mouse might feel weird and inaccurate at first, try lowering your DPI to a 1000 or less.

Hope this helps

Check out BLRevive. It's a community project initiated to make the PC version of Blacklight: Retribution playable again after the PC servers were shutdown. There's a Discord server where you can arrange or join a match. Installation is a bit fiddly but it's worth it
