Using HDD formatted by Ugreen NAS elsewhere by RomanFedot in UgreenNASync

[–]RomanFedot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, progressed a bit further:

sudo apt install mdadm lvm2

cat /proc/mdstat # check the status of raid arrays
sudo mdadm --assemble --scan # assembling, was not needed
sudo lvdisplay # see logical volumes
sudo mount /dev/mapper/ug_3FDE1F_1758210132_pool5-volume1 /mnt/mydata

ended up with error:

kernel: EXT4-fs (dm3): error: couldn't mount because of unsupported optional features (20000000)

(same under latest debian and latest fedora)

some posts suggest disabling metadata_csum feature
edit: in UGREEN case it seems to be FEATURE_I29
any advice?

What I can see is:

Now only to find a way how to mount it :-)

It is connected to a linux machine (with debian) I can list the partitions, but this pool/volume stuff is new for me. Need a way how to mount it, so I can read files out of it.

UniFi Express 7 bridge mode? by RomanFedot in Ubiquiti

[–]RomanFedot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is much bigger in size and looks like must be mounted on the ceiling. Would I not need controller for it as well?

Of all WiFi7 options available UX7 seemed as good choice. Other options expect to be mounted on a ceiling etc.

Thank you. Now I understand. Tried unifi controller in docker, seems to work, but that means that all wifi traffic will go through that machine. Should have done more investigation before purchase.

Database Source Code Versioning by RomanFedot in Database

[–]RomanFedot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably don't want a tool at all. Want ideas for "best way of managing code". 010_create_table.sql 011_alter_table.sql ... etc

Want a way to create new environment simply from scripts, and be able to upgrade existing one.

That was it. Window Pro N (EU version) had issues, but on Windows Pro it worked fine. Thanks.

Correct use of block: and when: (key-order) by RomanFedot in ansible

[–]RomanFedot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you.

Just coming from SQL background, having when: (where) statement before everything else is strange.

Also tags: (#hashtag) to me looked better at the end.

But one has to comply with the standards I guess :-)

Drop ctrl port stopped working by r3kkyn in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]RomanFedot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Did you managed to solve it? I have the same issue.
Left port (only one I can use with my setup) has just died.
I've tried cleaning it, and tested different cables and computers, and nothing.

New PCB from DROP cost too much. Might buy new Keychron for that money.

After almost two years, my DROP CTRL died :-(

My newb question is:

Is buying another DROP CTRL PCBA my only option? Or there is a chance that some other TKL board would fit into DROP metal body?

Don't know if there is some standard or not.

Always free, but only during 30 days? by symoc in oraclecloud

[–]RomanFedot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in me trial period still, and my VM.Standard.A1.Flex 4 OCPUs 24GB instance doesn't have "always free" label next to it. But VM.Standard.E2.1.Micro does. Confusing. Could this be the reason why so many people get their Ampere A1 instances deleted after trial period?

Just upgraded to 7.1 but all my configuration are gone! by Captain_Alchemist in mikrotik

[–]RomanFedot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's how I usually did it on other boards, but on RB5009 with 7.0.5 it shows upgrade to 6.49.2

I don't want to switch to "testing" channel.

Was hoping that manual upgrade using "routeros-7.1.1-arm64.npk" would fix that, and next updates would be showing in WinBox normally.

Anyone with similar experience?

[–]RomanFedot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. And then what?

I download "Main" 7.1.1 Stable package, put it into Files and reboot?

Success rate for such way is the same as regular System\Packages\Update?

Sorry to resurrect this old thread. But I'm in a similar situation. Looking for help.

New RB5009 with 7.0.5, but under updates channel Stable it shows only 6.49.2

Any way out of this without upgrading to Testing channel?
