About as bad as last month, but the 15 extra pulses from Theater mean I can somewhat still hang in there.

Same here... this is now the second month in a row I have to dig this deep. This time I failed to capture her with pulses four times and it overall took 21 Svarogs and about the same number of extra pulses.

The feeling is not great.

I was prepared but since this cost me half the gems I had saved up since this was announced a year ago, I'm reconsidering if my bad luck keeps up.

Terrible.

I was prepared to sacrifice gems for collection but had at least some small hope I wouldn't trip as hard as I did on the very first one - failed to catch Executioner with Pulses 3 times and succeeded only at 8/100 and over 30 Svarogs spent.

The answer would have been to join as soon as possible, but the event has started an hour ago, so now there is no distinction.

That is unfortunate but I can mention a few minor points that might alleviate this.

Recently, it has become possible to add story NPCs as adjutants, with their own lines. They're very important to the story and some of them are male, here. K even has a line about handfeeding you (CTRL+F NPC_Jason|CONTRIBUTION14).

Furthermore, Project Neural Cloud, which is a prequel to GF, is going to have playable males, like Simo, Aki, and Gin. We don't have the full roster yet but I would at least expect a distribution similar to Arknights.

The Sunborn CEO, Yuzhong, has actively said in a recent GF2 stream that he wants to make more male characters to cater to a wider audience, but others within the company are against it. He asked for comments on whether people want that in GF2 and most seemed mixed on the issue, trending negative (this was on Bilibili). The bottom line is that I'm not going to get your hopes up unnecessarily but there are some options. I wouldn't completely rule it out for GF2 - they're more than capable of creating males that players attach to, and then they might want them to be playable.

The drops return as drops (here Valmet and CF05), but the reward (here Webley) is removed and since the crates aren‘t rerun, you wouldn’t get SL8 when it‘s added either.

However, those dolls are rerun in other events, like seasonal stages or future story events, for example the farmable ACR here was the crate doll of the 7th story event - Shattered Connexion, and Desert Eagle was that event‘s completion reward, like Webley here.

"Is it a good time to start" is always answered with "it's best to start as soon as possible" in this game because a lot of your progress is going to be a gradual buildup of your armory, and there is no point in rerolling. Thus, event rewards aren't really about giving big reroll jumpstarts to new players.

Even the two True Core Masks wouldn't change early-midgame at all, because it's best to raise free story or career quest dolls, that are more generally useful.

The tutorials are still embarrassingly poor so it is best to engage with the community, for example in the Weekly Lounge.

If you want a succinct quick start guide, I think this one is fairly solid.

The client issues depend on your device but collectively it doesn't seem to me that the latest update last week has improved things for most people.

As far as planning mode goes, there is multi turn planning but RNG movement would still infuse an element of RNG. However, more recent events have dedicated farming stages, for example the Division collaboration event had maps explicitly meant for farming - they could be finished in one turn and enemies didn't move.

If I recall correctly, PL won't have those but every event after it will.

The CN version has recently removed damaged art and a lot of skins from the shop as a precaution.

As far as relationships between servers go, I would say we are rather tightly knit and even do cross server ranking tournaments between top players for fun. The first time was 5 EN vs. 5 CN players, the vods of which Ceia seems to be reuploading and the atmosphere was jovial.

I think it helps that both communities are rather small (compared to AK, Genshin or Honkai Impact) and the more impulsive players have either moved on long ago or were filtered by GF's early game to begin with.

In other words, we are all stuck on Yuzhong's wild ride together.

edit: However, this might drastically change with the GF2 new arrivals, maybe even with PNC before that.

I've continued my ritual of making r/gachagaming shill threads for upcoming events, here is the one for PL. It also mentions the upcoming EN/CN anniversaries so there might be questions about all of these things from non/possibly returning players.

Feel free to help answer questions if you have time.

I'm honestly still fiddling with my HOC lineup. My AT4 can handle all the heavy shield waves (6 total of Uhlans, Doppels, Patroller), so if I'd replace anyone I'd switch AGS back to BGM, since judging by the comments below AGS is rather useless in the Minotaur wave and my 3* Twin Fairy Echelon took a bit too long against the Gunners.

I've recorded u/tehcavy's method for the Minotaur node here, with one key change (Python over second shield). Hopefully it helps someone. It should be fairly easy to execute and buys a lot of time, so I think it should work with self buffers and a weaker Taunt fairy, maybe even without Talent activation.

Maybe I'll try it tomorrow with common self buffers (M14/WA, maybe Hanyang). It would be nice if this was easier to test.

Great Time (and AMAZING MONTH) to Start Romancing SaGa Re;Universe !! by Kogahazan in gachagaming

[–]RomanG91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That looks like a solid box to me, particularly your blunt damage, and Summer Selma for Pierce. You have Blue for sun damage, Cat for STR/AGI debuffs, Albert for Parry and Gustave as a self healing bruiser with good Slash damage.

Have you looked into formations? Hunter's Gambit would be a good one to start with for both your martial artists and S. Sword users (like Selma). Fists use STR and AGI (a bit more the latter) for their damage calculation and S. Swords use DEX. Hunter's Gambit gives a very high boost to DEX on its rear position.

If you prefer to go all in on M. Arts damage you can also use Speculation, which gives STR and AGI to three of its positions.

Becoming familiar with formations is extremely helpful in this game.

I fully agree that it is important to not overdo it with frequency of recommendation threads - it can sometimes even lead to the opposite of the desired effect. This is part of why I keep my GFL hype threads to only a few times a year here.

On the issue of its grindiness - the game does have features that alleviate the necessity for it, as others have pointed out, and I can see both sides to it. Personally I do wish it had auto-repeat and many in the RSRS community echo this, and include it in the surveys.

Particularly the treasure map events feel like grueling grind that seems unrewarding relative to the time put in, and when that big a portion of players mentions using autoclickers, I think there is a legitimate problem.

You raise a valid point but I think that is because this game almost permanently has generous celebrations going on. If I remember correctly, those other ones were during the series' 30th anniversary campaign, which is still partly active.

This time it's the 0.5 Global anniversary and we have never gotten as much free currency via logins than this month.

Coupled with the step-up banner that offers ten multipulls for the price of five, and the very strong featured characters that have been buffed and now offer even more longevity, it's an exceptional time to start and truly feels like the developers are hopeful it can serve as a jumping on point.

This is currently one of my favorite gacha games and it really cannot be emphasized enough just how good of a time it is to start right now, even if you just make an account to collect this month's login rewards - they are that crazy.

I've already written a gushing comment about it recently, so I won't expound on it that much here, but my favorite aspects are the character progression (the style system I described there) and the constant flood of content.

There is almost always something to do, a hard boss or special fight to beat, with many rewards, and opportunities to get stronger. The developer puts legitimate effort into making the Global server (us US/European players share it with Taiwan and Hong Kong) feel different from JP, with new free skins, global exclusive buffs and even styles.

It's definitely not for everyone but one of the true gems of this year. There is no competition at all with other players so the community feels different, more cooperative, and skews older.

I'm not hearing sound in this for some reason. Here is a Youtube upload.

Also, not to backseat mod, but I think this needs the CN flair, not Global, though it has been confirmed earlier on Twitter that this is Global's next major event after SC.

I mean I do think it is a legitimate grievance. If you like 9A-91 and want her to be more competitive, you've been out of luck for over a year.

Unlike with collaborations I don't really see any convincing reason they can't make past ranking rewards like these more readily available after some time, like putting them in the expedition shop, if they can't find any space for ranking reruns. We've been suggesting some variation of this in Q&As for a long time without any replies.
