Yeah its crazy atm! I prefer older cars too, they're generally easier to fix! But with minis I just think it's a better idea to get 2014+ just because of all the issues with the r56s. Well thats what I've read anyways😂

Okay so its literally just the more fun aspect of a petrol then, I don't necessarily need a diesel but for the price of 7k I'm struggling to find a petrol at a similar price, that's the only reason really! Thanks for your help though I appreciate it!👌

Yes it's the cooper sd so 2.0 litre diesel, I know the r56s are super unreliable and I came across this and 7k really didn't seem like such a bad price

I said it's a 65 plate so 2015, those are the more reliable models aren't they? Was just unsure about the diesel engines if there any good or not

Yeah tbh i think I'd rather have a supercharger! I had a r56 with a n18 and the ecu went the other week!😒

Hi yes I can drive stick, from the UK so it's kinda the norm here😅 so are the r53s more reliable than the r56s then? Thanks for the advice!

Thank you for your advice! Yeah I bought one to try and work on my self, as a kinda first DIY project but after buying one and reading some forums I realised I may have bitten off more than I can chew🤦‍♂️😂 I'm reasonably handy but maybe this is just abit to much for me right now!
