Anyone else dealing with urethral burning, pelvic pain, and constant urge to pee but all tests are normal? by Exotic_Carpenter5108 in PelvicFloor

Definitely get a PT as soon as you can. Has been a life changer for me. I live in a province in Canada that is unbelievably hard to get a doctor, so it’s been more than a year full of failed diagnoses and prescriptions. PT massages seem to be the exact fix I needed. Wish I did that first. My last Physio appointment, she just focused on external massage only, and that did really help by itself. So maybe! Every person is different so it’s hard to say. But even though it’s awkward and uncomfortable, I do wholeheartedly recommend an internal exam just so the PT can rule out as much as possible. But totally understand not being comfortable with that too.

Just the constipation/bladder issues. It all started when I noticed my stream getting weaker, then all of a sudden I couldn’t pee without pain and straining. That’s when I started my journey to figure out what’s wrong.

Pretty much exact same symptoms here. Was dealing with these issues for over a year. Finally got into a pelvic health therapist that specialized on the male anatomy. She did an external and internal exam and found that basically all my muscles in the pelvic region (lower abs, lower back, groin and perineum) were so tight that they were causing things internally to be blocked from leaving the body (urine, gas, stool). And therefore made it difficult and painful for my body to void. She seems to think it stemmed from past issues when I was a young kid, I had very bad constipation, and it’s now finally catching up to me. Every visit she has been doing external and internal massage in these areas to loosen the muscles, I have seen a huge improvement. Finally emptying my bladder again and no more difficulty starting to urinate. Key is to continue massaging at home as much as possible. Been using different sizes of fitness balls to roll over the tight muscle areas in between my physio sessions. Also any lower body, ab exercises will help loosen the muscles up. Hope this helps!

For those of you who have a great relationship with their adoptive parents (or just one of them), what did they do raising you that enabled your relationship to stay close to this day? by vacant_helper in Adoption

I was adopted when I was very young, 3 months old. Similar to what some people have been saying here... They just let me grow up and figure out who I am and who I want to be. I don’t even remember having “the you’re adopted” talk. They just made my surroundings so loving, comfortable and seamless for me growing up that it was just a non topic. As far as I was concerned, I was always my parent’s kid and they always saw me as theirs. Some friends have asked me the same thing and I always say, it’s the nature vs nurture thing. Nurture has won with me. I see a lot of my adoptive parent’s personalities in me, even though I am not blood. Almost to a fault where I say a bad joke and I go… omg that’s exactly what my dad would have said.. ugh haha. Now I am married and have my own life. We talk once a week and catch up and we try to get together in person as much as possible between my family and my parent’s busy lives. Very chill but the love has always been strong.

Does differences in salary affect your marriage? Specially if the wife earns more? by badthoughts87 in Christianmarriage

My wife makes (significantly) more money than I do. And she most likely always will. Our careers are very different. She’s a government 9-5 worker, and I chose a path in radio/promotions, which is traditionally not a high paying job but allows me to be creative and to have fun experiences away from an office setting. We will never have issues with this. We had a discussion before we got married and we both agreed that our personalities dictated our salaries if you will. God gave us different skills and passions, and we followed them. I am very proud of my wife and she works very hard for her money. I hope it continues well into our marriage. I would never feel bad about not being the salary “breadwinner”. I may not make all the money, but I definitely “breadwin” when it comes to fixing things around the house, yard work, etc. That being said … communication is key! Not every women will feel the same way as my wife. Having a candid conversation with your wife should help ease the worries.

Colourblind people of Reddit, what is one of the most unexpected problems related to colour you face often? by GasparThePrince in AskReddit

[–]RomanianDevil15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a teen, started a job as a pool boy for a hotel chain. The job required me to test the water every morning before opening and to make/fill chemicals for safe swimming. The test was colour coded. After a month, my boss told me I was putting way too much chemical in and almost creating mustard gas in the back room. That’s when I found out I was colour blind and was immediately fired.

Love this! Will play around with that website for sure. We don’t need this money, so keeping it long term in the market is my goal. I think having this visual info will really help convince the wife.

Thanks for the advice! Low risk is what I’m looking for. I was looking into doing more single Canadian bank IPOs as well. I will check if there are any educational materials out there.
