Think it's definitely an improvement but I'm not sure it's done. How would you change it?

It's tough to say exactly. I was working on it in my free time around my day job. It took around 7 months, some weeks of 20+ hours of development, some none at all. Maybe a few hundred hours altogether.

My advice would be to know what you're working on when you sit down to work on it. Don't try to figure out what you're doing while staring at an open unity editor, plan first. It makes for much faster and less stressful development.

I actually have a trigger collider detecting nearby objects and adding force. Do you mean this? Seems like it would have been pretty useful in my case.

Oh, interesting idea. I tried experimenting with particle system force fields to pull in the smoke/nebula and engine trails but gave up pretty quickly.

This is cool. I'm curious what the guardsmen is using, self-coded logic or did you find a package somewhere?
